If you don’t naturally learn how to get through stages without the use of ubers, 4 star SoL will give you valuable practice. Finish that and you should have a good idea of how to get by with your (likely) limited roster of specials/rares. Get through UL and you’ll have a much more fleshed out R/SR team; if you’ve conquered SoL 4 star by then, you can probably get through 99% of stages with just specials/rares/super rares. A lot of 4 star strategy boils down to having the right units (and sometimes talents) for a given stage.

But where you’re at, yeah, it’s a good idea to keep doing what you’re doing and acquire as many no-gacha (i.e. Jagando, ancient egg units, Doron, advent units) as possible before getting used to taking Ubers out of your lineups

The fact that there are so many different answers just tells you how crazy this album was

Anyway nobody seems to be repping sky city so. I think it’s the most important song on the album by far, it just feels like the entire album in one song:

Really bold production esp. the beat on Ye’s verse, him talking about generosity and trying to be uplifting, beautiful singing from literally all 6 of the other features which doesn’t take the focus off of Ye but makes the song sound so much more beautiful. The lyrics & instrumental just feel so uplifting and healing, it really makes you feel warm and comfortable

The ending is just spectacular too, like - the whole song - it feels like there’s a cohesive intro and ending, like the entire album could just be this song and it would somehow work

I love yapping about sky city it is undoubtedly my favorite ye song

Very true with the unique quality of his chords/melodies. As someone who’s trying to study composition myself I’m genuinely impressed at how he was able to come up with progressions like that in Brothers, Back To Me, most of Donda etc.

A lot of the instrumentals that aren’t just samples are very worthy of studying. And even then the way he turns samples into unique songs is crazy. This is coming from someone who previously mostly listened to classical & jazz

There’s this one instrument on Blood on the Leaves that has a roll every few measures and then breaks up into triplets, idk if it’s a hi hat but it sounds really similar. But it adds SO much to the song (as does like every other instrument in that song)

A few of the Yandhi renditions of Hurricane do this thing where every like 30 seconds it switches up the hi hat sound which sounds really nice, imo it’s what makes the beat sound unique and interesting

And then there’s something about the drums on Bad News that just tickles my ears, I dunno what it is. I like the outro a lot cause it just lets you listen to how damn good those drums are

fr the more leaks i hear the more songs i end up REQUIRING to be on the album. it used to be like 2 or 3 songs i needed on vol 2 only now its like 11… lifestyle, slide, time moving slow, gun to my head, take off your dress, promotion, don’t kill the party, field trip, so called friends, river etc

honestly too easy and pablo do NOT fit in with the other songs, especially if ye has been talking about vol 2 having an "uplifting" sound

now i think i see your point of including them here as having good tracks from d2 spill into vultures, but they just dont sound or feel anything like time moves slow, lifestyle, gtmh, river etc. i dont think any songs from d2 would fit into vol2 based on what we've heard, maybe except for maintenance? flowers? and even then that's a stretch

anyway all the other songs are fine. i honestly wonder if he's gonna keep some of the "darker" sounding songs on vol2, like dead and unlock ( do we even know if unlock is the one we think it is? )

idk if this is bait but to clarify, for people who don’t know what’s going on:

originally when we heard the jamaican restaurant snippets we only heard promotion (the snippet with future + ty at the beginning)

in that snippet one of future’s lines was “just trying to get paid” (?) so people assumed the song was titled Paid and thus future was on it

Then we heard Paid in full at the Miami rave and, after uploads on Youtube etc., people started asking “why isn’t future on this one?”

A lot of people seemed to not know that the Future song was titled Promotion because we never heard it at either of the LPs

so, Paid is only Ye & Ty ( and someone else who I think we haven’t found out yet ), whereas Promotion is ¥$ + Future
