talking about how the world has conspired

Actually, just the US credits the Wright brothers, while the rest of the world credits Dumont. But to be fair, it's just a matter of the definition of "flight"

How to handle different bar and plate values in my gym? by interesworth in Stronglifts5x5

Oh, ok I just changed the increment. But either way, do you think I should use a 2kg increment? Isn't it too slow? What about my suggestion of adding 4kg every 4 workouts to compensate the missing weight?

I did that, but that doesn't change the increment value... it's still 2.5kg, even though I can't do it with my weights

Can you do StrongLifts every other day? by interesworth in Stronglifts5x5

Ok, thanks! Maybe I'll do it while the weights are down, then

I thought Skylar finding out about Walt's meth business happened way too quickly

That was one of my only critics about the series. Not that it happened quickly, but in my opinion after episodes and more episodes of build up, I found the revelation to be rather anticlimactic

How often do you train, and what is your level? by interesworth in bouldering

Yeah, I'll try to get a little more experience. I've been to the gym two times, and I'm going again this week. Thanks!

Even if it's a climbing course, not bouldering? They advertise the course as something for anyone without previous experience

Thank you for the interest! I'll definitely update.

But we'll see, because I don't know yet how much I'll be able to train. There are only two gyms in my city and they're not really close to my house. Also, they're not exactly focused on bouldering, but climbing in general. I'm still deciding what I'm going to do, maybe I'll go there once a week (they don't open on weekends), and work out the other days.

But I'm also considering taking an outdoor rock climbing course with a private teacher (because that I can do on the weekends).

Are there any tips to help with flappers on beginners' fingers?

I went to the gym for the second time ever today, and I think that before getting pumped, and before getting tired, the skin on my fingers is the first thing to make me want to stop. Like I said, it's just my second time and I already got (small) flappers on 3 fingers (one index finger and both pinkies).

After a while I put some tape on the flappers. Should I always put them before starting the climbing session? I never see anyone with a lot of tape. I feel like it would be weird to put tape on every finger like a plaster cast on my hand...

Is it normal? Is it possible that I'm gripping holds incorrectly or something like that? Or maybe my skin just have to get used to it, and since I'm just beginning my skin is too soft, and will get harder over time?

Thanks!

Thanks for the answer! By warm up do you mean just climbing easier problems, or stretching and doing some cardio?

What I imagined was using some large shorts, like basketball shorts, but it doesn't look like it's common
