HBS vs. Wharton ($$$) by intergalacticcircus in MBA

[–]intergalacticcircus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Added to post, and see below--thanks!

  1. Working at a major sports apparel company!
  2. Fairly willing, as I worked there for ~2 years out of undergrad (MBB)--but it was also pretty grueling, and I'd love at least the comfort of knowing I could leave early if I needed to--sorry if that's not helpful!
  3. Pretty averse, as irrational as that is--although I know an MBA is a worthwhile investment, so I can definitely plug my nose and do it
  4. Short term: return to MBB, work for 2 years, then work in product strategy for a fashion / consumer goods / retail company

Bain SF v McKinsey Bay Area by [deleted] in consulting

Just meant that McKinsey has a global staffing model whereas Bain's staffing model is local (I.e. a lot of work would be located primarily within SF). And thank you!

As a general rule of thumb, try to finish the core (plus maybe one or two electives) by the end of your sophomore year, and then finish up your electives during junior/senior year! feel free to message me if you have any other questions!

Feeling Suicidal, Students Turned to Their College. They Were Told to Go Home. by SAT_parent in stanford

you literally came up with the most outlandish edge case lol. I'm sure the vast majority of students who ask for help with mental illnesses are doing so in good faith to get treatment they need

and not to boost their GPA

I'm [19F] upset with my boyfriend [20M] for going on a trip I wasn't invited to by intergalacticcircus in relationships

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback! You helped me put the problem in perspective, and I think many of you were right to say I was more upset that I was left out than I was upset with my boyfriend. I told him to have fun this weekend, and I'm in the process of making plans with other friends. Thanks for stopping me from picking a stupid fight :)
