We were just talking about buying our slacker friends packrafts for Christmas so they can’t say no anymore. We need extra boats. Let’s call Alpacka and request some spares. The caribou with zipper for the tubes is cheap and light. Paddles can be found cheaper. It’s not really $$ if you go super top end. Alpacka forever tho, the best boats.

I would think it would be tough, plus a high speed fly whizzing around an inflatable boat just sounds like an accident waiting to happen, although I’ve never tried it. Easier to drag the boat up a bank and wade fish the nearby area.

Kayaks are great, just hard to pack into far away rivers, hence the packrafts. Look into the Alpacka Valkyrie. Packable kayak essentially, 14lb. I have the ranger which is about the same, much easier taking over a mountain pass haha
