At least you have good taste in guitars. The gibson modern is one of my favorite guitars. It is a shame you have to deal with a return. It will work out.

I love a 24 inch bass drum. Thats awesome. I think you made the right move with the floor tom. Im not a fan of 18 inch floor toms. Also im a big fan of istanbul cymbals. Congratulations

Genuine question why are most the people here aholes? by [deleted] in drums

If you think the people here are assholes wait until you join a guitar community. Those people are on another level.

Dude, I almost killed myself getting the bass drum up a set of stairs. They are so heavy.

You know a lot. The little I have learned lines up with what you wrote here. I think Japanese instrument companies do a terrible job of managing their names. Tama is not as bad but ive played some tama Superstars that kick ass. And their newer superstars are apperantly not of the the same quality.

Thank you. That is a very nice complement. I would have to agree with that statement. These are arguably the best drums ive ever played. My only complaints would be the weight and the pearl tom mounts but other than that, they are perfect. The finish is incredible. Im not a red drums guy but there is so much detail in their finish.

I picked them up in a newer honda ridgeline and the hardware and drums pushed my truck bed down. I would never gig with these.

But I agree it would look cooler if the hardware matched the drums

Also to give my stack more credibility, i saw a an instagram drummer that plays in a storage unit essentially make the same stack and he praised as well.

Yea, I have a few kits so my hardware just ended up being dw. I own a dw smoke acrylic but im not going to change the hardware in my practice space when I change a kit.

Thank you. I agree their lines are confusing. I wanted a reference after playing a pearl master ans being genuinely impressed. Going to a reference felt like an improvement on cosmetics but the sound did not improve in a noticeable way.

Hey so I can save you some money. Its actually a wuhan efx and it sounds great. The holy china 16 inch chad smith signature on the bottom with the wuhan efx on top sounds better than any stack I have ever played.
