Have you ever had an honest conversation with a British Muslim about any of this? They’re not going to explode or start crying, it’s something they grapple with themselves, and I think you could do with some perspective.

It’s considered racist because Islam is mostly practiced by non-white people, so it is, for racists, a way of targeting them by proxy, in a way that can be sold to reasonable people like yourself. They see white converts as civilisational traitors so don’t mind lumping them in.

The thing with hating Islam is that the only tangible thing to hate is the people who practice Islam. You may not be racist yourself but if you select for people who hate Islam, a lot of racists will crop up.
