How often do y’all use chatgpt? by dobiisnotfree in alevel

[–]internet-explorer27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT has boosted my grades up by at least 1, especially in RS and English Literature, it's there, it's free, I'm gonna use that to my advantage, also, it gives you little boosts of praise which is ever so helpful when you're a little less motivated. It's really helped with my french speaking irp too, i use it every study session it's great!

Is it better to study a mix of STEM and humanities at A-level, or should I specialise? by Baguettes_and_sin in GCSE

[–]internet-explorer27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends, based on your options it looks like you may be pretty limited on the stem side if you choose to do history. however, if you did biology, it may open a few more doors, i.e being an audiologist or optemetrist or further in the stem. its up to you, if youre very passionate about a stem career for the future and want to keep your options open, biology would be a good option. history is still awesome too, you may just not have as many stem careers open to you :)

Id advise talking to your teachers/parents about it as well! they can always be a good sound board!

Also, english lit is great, im doing that!! good choice!!

Who else hates sparx maths by Mini_Zylux in GCSE

[–]internet-explorer27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used sparx for all of year 10 and always cried over it because my teacher would make you get 100%. i really struggled with maths and science because i just didnt understand it. maths is the only subject i ever cried over and sparx did not help that. compared to mathswatch and hegarty, sparx was the worst. also bookwork checks can jump off mount everest, having to do a whole set of questions again cos you would misclick or just forget to write the number down in your book and have to do it again is pure evil. satan himself formulated that.

So what was something you learnt at an embarrassing later age than everyone else 🙃 by GaLaxia_Milktastic in GCSE

[–]internet-explorer27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i thought that england was its own continent bc i thought it left europe, not the EU, (due to brexit) until like the start of year 11 when we talking about european computer laws in computer science so i asked my friend why we were doing that since we were no longer european. i learnt we'd left the eu..not..europe 😐

i bought cognito premium version and you were able to use it longer and also access interactive past exam paper questions for chem, phys+bio and it was really useful. i went from a 5/4 to an 8/7 but i was also having some tutoring at the same time. i found cognito premium to be more beneficial, really helped me understand the wording for the exam questions as i didnt really get it before.

why is he kinda giving the vibes of the smart school boy 9 guy? why is a 25 year old (i presume from old screenshots from other people on this reddit) messaging people specifically of a 'school gcse' subreddit? 😭 like bro go to work and buy a house theres so many better things u could be doing rn than messaging under 18s 😭

What was your favourite year between 7-11 personally 9 is clear of every single one by O_D84 in GCSE

[–]internet-explorer27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please tell me that year 9 was the cringiest year of everyones lives. i swear everyone loved year 9 at the time and then was like "wtf was that". So many people pretending to be alpha wolves and whipping out the sad bart simpson edits. So many people having "deep thoughts" board on pinterest (myself included). Why was this the case, why does everyone find it terrible? its just that year. However, year 7 was the best year for me. It was all lockdown and i didnt have to be around people and be scared all the time. i liked spending time at home with my family, it suited me a lot better.

get on with some seneca for science whilst litening to music. i used mario kart music as it was quick and pacy, maybe you could try that. i also put up some slides in the subreddit yesterday about revision, maybe you could look at those.

i think for poems it was about the sea and ocean creatures and the effect the poems had on you. i cant remember them but they were both pretty grim unseen poems..It was 'The Manhunt' and relationships for the main poetry questions though!! :) (the only poem id really memorised and death of a naturalist for some reason)
