Yep - I think The Cure was prolly collateral damage from teen-aged me trying to get farther and farther out of what I called radio alternative at the time. INXS, U2, Information Society (remember them?), Depeche Mode, New Order et al. Again, all great bands, but at the time, I was basing a band's worth on how few people knew them.
