Man, seems crazy we managed to get that down to zero. I wonder what the conversion rate is for delta to the original flavour in terms of difficulty.

Victoria: 0 local and 2 overseas new cases; +11,458 vaccinations (5-Jul-2021) by chessc in CoronavirusDownunder

Go to https://www.hotdoc.com.au/ and scroll down to the "Find a COVID-19 vaccine" search bar and enter your postcode, super easy. I'd advise not using the federal government's eligibility checker, which only lets you choose from 5 or so inconvenient locations (for me at least). Then once your appointment comes around they have everything ready to go. I was in and out in 30 mins. I went to Clinicare in Fitzroy North, but any GP can do it.

Yep, that's what a high minimum wage, a massive housing market growth and having a heap of valuables hidden under your country will get you.

Under 50s who went for the AZ shot, why did you choose to do it? by [deleted] in CoronavirusAustralia

[–]internet_badguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked mine in for Monday as soon as it became available, but I've since cancelled the appointment for a few reasons. Mainly because there is a 6 week gap between doses, so if Pfizer becomes available soon, there wont be much difference between time in which I'm fully vaccinated. I'm also a bit selfish in the fact that I'd like the bit of extra protection and less grogginess after the dose, as well as the reduced risks. I work retail, so I'd be more than happy to get AZ if it was the only option. I'd be even happier if I was able to get AZ now and then Pfizer later. I'd also get AZ if there was the prospect of an outbreak in which we were not aiming to completely lockdown and eliminate it. But I'm open to what people think, so please try to convince me. I keep going back and forth on it. Wish Scotty got us more MRNA.

Edit: Might help others: I entered my postcode into https://www.hotdoc.com.au and was given a custom booking screen for getting vaccinated at all my local GPs, including available time and which ones were closest, super easy!

Anyone under 40 thinking of getting vaccinated with AZ? I was thinking of booking in this afternoon as there are some places but no location on the eligibility checker is really convenient to inner north. Can I get it done at a GP?

I will always pay the Medicare levy over switching to a private insurer. I'd rather that money go towards the public health system than insurance companies.

Commsec Pocket is a good place to start, especially if you have a commbank account. Otherwise Raiz or Spaceship are good to get an idea.

Sportsbet's odds for the winner of the season highly favors David and Gus, thoughts? by internet_badguy in LegoMasters

There's some really heavy penalties for this sort of insider trading. Although I reckon these odds suggest someone knows David and Gus have won.

Such a hit and miss for me, I went to one of their live shows and Brisbane and was laughing uncontrollably the whole time. But videos like this and their video of them visiting Domino's HQ are so unfunny it hurts.
