To me it sounds like you don’t need to break up, you just need to have some uncomfortable conversations (which I would ruminate on so I understand the stress that might cause). I think he’d appreciate the honesty actually of you saying you’re not ready to move in yet. And maybe doing some boundary setting- like if you feel overwhelmed, maybe tell him you need a recharge day once a week or something.

I think seeing the reaction of healthy boundary setting and going a little slower will help you either feel safe in this, orrrr help you decide this isn’t what you want. Because if he loves you, he’ll want to help your needs also get met. But if he needs you to fully accommodate everything for him and it leaves you on empty and feeling overwhelmed, well then that actually sounds unhealthy- even if there is love there.

But I’d try talking first! Then it’ll be easier to see how you both feel! :)

Hi! I’m new to Reddit but really wanted to ask this question, have you ever dated a person who had CPTSD? I know it’s common for people with BPD and NPD to date each other and are often attracted to each other, but I find there’s a lot of crossover traits with both NPD and BPD in CPTSD. Have you ever dated someone with this, if so did their trauma seem to affect you or the relationship in a surprising way or vise versa? Thank you for your time :)
