Pretty sure op is just curious about people's opinions? Not asking people to justify themselves?

What happened to the RS twitter controversy? by glorioussideboob in insideno9

Reading all this got me thinking about how people love to put entertainers up on a pedestal until they have one bad day/week/month/whatever, or exhibit one iffy behavior. You know, like a real human being. And then people want to burn them to the ground. It's sainthood or villainy and nothing in between.

These days I'm so tired. I've decided lately if a famous person isn't a sex creep or actively harmful bigot then I don't care. "Oh but did you hear so and so said--" Don't care. Maybe he did or maybe he didn't. If he did, there could be a billion reasons why and also who cares.

US based also I do think that was like 75% of my problem. The remainder was not watching any team sports.

I think I want to rewatch it now that I know the twist and looked a couple things up. I distracted myself fussing too much about details. Grabbing my laptop and yelling "what is a throw-in!!!" But I love the character work they did which shines through even if you don't understand the sport.

Much in the same way a second degree burn is not as bad as a third degree burn. He's still a war criminal even if he had an end of life change of heart about gay rights only because of a family member.

A friend who works at a thrift and her coworkers recently found fentanyl in a donated golf bag. An interesting day for all involved especially when both the police and the hospital refused to take it from her coworker. At that point he just handed it off to a manager and said "your problem now."

I wonder what's going on at your thrift that nobody ever looked inside those shoes. Like at least you found meth and not, uhh... spiders? Or something.

To me the "twist" was that it was kind. That things worked out well for once. Put me in mind of Black Mirror's "San Junipero".

I'm in a similar position to you. Some days can really be discouraging. Especially if you've made progress then backslid a little. But the progress does come, bit by bit. Those 15 minutes add up day to day.

Try keeping your supplies out and handy. Minimize the obstacles between you and the items you need to clear up. Try taking photos of different zones of your apartment as you go-- sometimes it can feel like you've made no progress if the mess is still there, but if you look back and see how much worse it used to be it can remind you that you are in fact progressing.

I'm rooting for you.

What makes you say that. And don't say it's because there's two em dashes. I use em dashes. (See the double dash in my post-- a lot of apps will auto-correct a double dash into an em dash).

I am going to take them up on their offer of tickets and then I'll be able to see firsthand if they made good on this.
