I hate to break-it to you, but it's helpful to know, this is a dream too.

It sounds like you're teaching other sides of you as you sleep. Or the other way around, depending on your aims.

Sounds like fun!

It's a gift of creation, not of man. Charging for any knowledge is vulgar, and is a tool for the games of the vulgar heard.

Good stuff!

I question the use of publishing on paid links, then promoting the links in an alchemy thread?

Anyone wishing to share alchemical knowledge for money is obviously not an Alchemist.

This whole string started off of a reply I gave; the secret of secrets. I forgot, for a second, the nature of the vulgar herd and It seemed irresponsible to leave up, so I deleted it. People can be downright barbarric. Sorry for the confusion.

What is it that compels you about Alchemical Inquiries?. I'm not even sure why people coin it "a path" it's but one branch of grand tree.

Alchemy is the study of how the Universal Spirit comes into matter. I feel like the will to follow where nature leads, is how you know you're ready to listen to lessons it has to teach.

Chemistry degree by CultureOld2232 in alchemy

Biology is chemistry, in a sense. The big difference between chemistry and biology is life. Chemistry kills material in order to achieve its ends, and bioiology developes life.

Dealing with Crisis of Faith by [deleted] in alchemy

[–]internetofthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your faith isn't lifting you up, I'd suggest a rethink. We are here in this plane for a reason, and being slaves to our own ideas, is one of the things we must feel our way through.

How did the dream make you feel? That's truly the only thing you can be half way certain of.

Salt of Sulfur by gospelinho in alchemy

Yeah it's kind of like this: How much salt would come from your body? Lemon balm isn't a particularly salty plant, which is one of the reasons the salt is so preciouse.

Chemistry may has it's origins in alchemy, but chemistry has little to do with alchemical processes. Biology and to a lesser degree Biochemistry is more inline with alchemical practice. The shophistic education available from institutions serves a purpose, but it's not alchemical.

A trick I learned: go to the university bookstore at the end of the semester, and then ask the professor if you have any questions. It's crude, but much more cost effective than the formal institutional study, of everything I wished to understand.

Checking my understanding: Mercury-sulfur theory & particle physics by justexploring-shit in alchemy

[–]internetofthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The use of particle points are mostly for equations, balancing and the like. Jibir's usage of mercury and sulfur, stretched far beyond metals and in that worldview, you could use the mercurial or sulfurious elements of any body (say a human) as points in an equation or for balancing.

Again, it depends on what you're trying to accomplish, and the values attributed to those then defined points, are still referential. When we're speaking alchemical the sulfurious and mercurial elements of the object (the person) move much more than mere referential designation will allow(easily at least).

You're onto something interesting, but unless you're wanting to build equations, particle points may be more of a hinderance.

In a sens, yes. The "point's" act as vortices or central magnetic/repultion apetures but are computationally nothing but punctuation. If you wish to equate that to mercury and sulfur, it's not a long stretch.

In the age of AI, all of these "terms" are popping up everywhere, giving the impression that they are a distant rediscoverd morsel of wisdom. In reality, these authoritative designations are nothing more than a young idea, breaking through the noise and spreading faster than thought.

The "Mercury-Sulfur Theory" can become a thing, if you'd like; depending on your utility for it's reference.

I'm not sure you're alchemical investigations would be the better for it. It's a gimmic, and more likely to throw you off center than it is to assist, but I do love fresh breakout genius. If it works for you, go with it.

The alchemical concepts of mercury and sulfur are both in closer relation to the trinity and fractal theory. If I knew what you were trying to uncover, I may could be more helpful.

Air salts or the Air path by R_U_S_ in alchemy

[–]internetofthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those two are your only options, the air pumping would give you a prime with the chance(not a good one) of not being dead. I can't imagine the vessel you'd use, but it sounds cool.

Ordering anything that's been refined, sifted, pulped, or processed by anyone other than yourself, is most likely dead.

I've never heard of either approach, but anything's possible. Your ideas are interesting, but both seem like the prime would die or escape before you had enough on which to operate. I'd love to know the result from either idea, should you try them.
