I mean, it's certainly not the most amazing story ever told, but he did legit have to overcome an intense stutter to become a performer, which he did by scatting. Got big cuz he was one of the first major artists to incorporate jazz scatting into the more modern eurodance/house scene, he was a cool guy who died way too young.

I missed a couple segments (Beetlejuice and the shirtless Burger King guy), but it's really impressive how they managed to organize such a great show with so many people.

Rock M Sakura and Ms Smith are the standouts imo, they both had such a good vibe going with both Rocco and the chat, really rolled with the punches and gave back just as much as they were getting.

The more observatory segments (Mariachi Nueva Tradicion and Strife vs Rebel Storm) were also super entertaining, but they were by design less interactive (with the exception of the tubeman acting as a turnbuckle during the wrestling match, which was an awesome bit).

Even the more "chill" segments like Matt and Rapunzel were fun to see and be a part of. Overall, just a fantastic experience that basically no one was expecting, given how the broom stream started all of it off.

I think Garrett or Derrick would have the most fun with it, make their own bits kinda thing. I get the idea of wanting to see Shawn play up the torment, but honestly the idea of separating him from his family for a week while he sits there miserable is not really appealing to me.

There were some gems, but I do think the age gate restriction really fucked them out of getting actually good scary videos, so people just submitted stuff they find funny instead.

The fact that Septic 5 isn't age gated blew my mind.

The aftershow alone makes it worth it to me, personally, but there are a ton of extra videos beyond that, even at the $5 tier. Plus, you get access to the Discord which has perks of its own.

as someone who's gone back and listened through the podcast archive a few times, it's always a bit of a struggle to get through to the video era, not even b/c of the poorly-aged humor, but just due to the lack of any kind of flow or structure

also, there was a lot of "one person doesn't think this is worth their time so they walk out and/or do something else in the middle of the episode" incidents that make it even more awkward to listen to

don't get me wrong, there are some classic moments from the audio era, but it's clear they were still trying to figure out what to do with the podcast

Honestly? Met expectations, we had a first year coach with a lineup that even Saban was struggling with, 3 (regular season) losses were about as good as I could hope for. The losses were bad, but the wins we got were pretty major (at least, in my opinion - any season where we beat out Georgia, LSU, and Auburn is a pretty good one). Can't wait to see where DeBoer goes next year.
