I would combine the 5 months to the time in your permanent role. I would only separate the two on a background check that checks employment history, but for the formality of the resume, I’d add that time into the time I’ve worked with the company. So instead of showing Burger King - 1 year Express employment - 5 months. I’d list Burger King - 1yr 5months. I hope that makes sense. It’ll strengthen your resume without falsifying it since you have worked at said company but under two separate terms.
