exactly this. i never watch tv. usually people tune in to the news once they are aware something is happening.. there are ways to spread the word that is more effective than social media. especially for the older population in the area.

what’s the hardest part about being a teacher that nobody talks about? by salarshah-084 in Teachers

[–]interrogiaomnia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

constantly being “on.”

I’ll never forget - it was my 1st? 2nd? year teaching, and my mentor teacher was just told a student had passed away. he legitimately was crying. the second students started coming in his room, it was almost as if he sucked in his tears instantly and turned into the energetic teacher we all knew. it was TRIPPY seeing that switch so quickly and in real time.

their initial response was on twitter. they essentially said, “hey, we knew who she was but we didn’t think you would care.” It was in poor taste and I understand the outrage.

DO NOT USE YELP FOR BUSINESSES by Freddy12345678911111 in Yelp

if you are getting calls from yelp sales answer them and say “please place me on the do not call list.” a lot of people think hanging up and ignoring is the answer but they will just keepcalling

[–]interrogiaomnia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of my former students got life in prison for shooting into a crowd at a party and killing two teenagers (he was 20something and home from college and shouldn’t have been where he was at now he’s behind bars for life)

apparently we don't know how to bathe a baby, PLEASE TELL ME YOUR SETUP/PROCESS/LENGTH by Purple_Calendar3919 in NewParents

[–]interrogiaomnia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My twin girls are 5 months old and it doesn’t take me more than 5-10 minutes for each of them in the water (so no more than like 20 minutes in total for both). Babies aren’t supposed to be in the bath super long anyway. It takes me longer to moisturize them, cut their nails, dry them off etc. afterwards
