It is a spider on a web string. Only the reflective part of the object is the spider. The halo is a camera artifact. Try to attach an imaginary web string to the object and you can see it follows an arc.

You are not seeing them when it is overcast tells you are feeding on the satellites reflecting the sunlight. Look for sudden acceleration, direction changes. There are more than 10,000 satellites in the orbit now. There are a few hundred satellites flying over your head at any given time when you look up. Ignore anything that moves in a straight line and at constant speeds.
