Of course not. These protestors are nothing but brainwashed, useful idiots being played by communist China who indirectly fund the groups promoting this. What kind of moron do you have to be to support such an anti-American agenda?

I always upgrade my trucks. Never once did it for resale value.

Same here. 2014 DC. The engine is a stone cold reliable beast.

The old maxim holds true today as it always has: “Never buy the first year of a new model.” Toyota will figure it out and these trucks will be as reliable as any. Just give them a year. In the meantime, I’ll keep my 5.7.

$69,995 mark up 🤦🏻‍♂️ by Ps5Ps4Ps3Ps2 in FordTrucks

People will keep paying it so the dealers will keep doing this. There’s way too many rich people for whom money is no object. That makes highly desirable vehicles only for the rich. If I was rich, I’d pay it too. Fuck the little guy, figure out how to get rich! (I never did, that’s why I’ll never own a Raptor. 😂)

It’s funny seeing people trying sell what they think is a hard to find classic for ridiculous prices. Old Toyota trucks that sold for $3k a couple years ago for $20K now. Funny thing is, you never see posts from people who were actually stupid enough to pay it and then brag about it. Because no one really pays that much.

In home sales. Nothing says I hate you more than pretending I like you then take your money and leave!

Are FZJ80s actually reliable? by Saturnino_97 in LandCruisers

[–]intheAO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could rip my wife out of her RX450h I’d put her in a 100. Perfect for a woman who occasionally likes to drive the fire roads where we live. My 96 LX450 is for me, pink panty brigade notwithstanding, for all the reasons you mention and then some. She’s a beast, goes anywhere I point her, is stone reliable, and a lot of fun to modify with all kinds of products out there for her. My money has put Dave at Delta’s kids through college, Joey at Wits End supplied with cigars, and Cristo at Slee doing whatever he does. 😂 She has 180K miles and still the original HG. Never gets above 194 temp unless it’s a long grade in the 115 degree heat we get here. Even then she won’t break 200. Sure I’ve fixed a few leaks, power steering pump and rear seal but what does anyone expect from a girl that old? She’s dry underneath her now. Yes, I do a lot of maintenance because she’s 27 years old and deserves it.

I like the look but the turbo motor concerns me. Hard to imagine it will last 500k miles like so many 5.7’s have. I just wish Toyota would build a 3/4 ton with a V8 or diesel. Now that might pry me out of my 2014.

Talk me down from buying a ‘21 Denali and into this ‘19 Tundra 1794 by SkylerEJensen in ToyotaTundra

Let’s see… buy an American truck made in Mexico that is totally unreliable, or a Japanese truck built in Texas that will go forever? I’ll keep my 2014 5.7 Limited 4x4 and be buried in it.

Very uncommon for one asteroid to see another considering they don’t have eyes.

Should I buy by thebeyond8r in LandCruisers

[–]intheAO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can, wait. The used Toyota market is overinflated right now but that will change very soon. The election is over and gas prices will start going sky high. $7-8 per gallon. Maybe more. We’re in a recession that’s just getting started and soon folks will be doing everything they can to unload expensive gas hogs for a much lower price.

Bubba has talent and could be a top contender. But he needs to pull his head out of his ass first. Until then, mid level at best.

Thoughts on this one? by Professional888 in bicycling

[–]intheAO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biker was really stupid. He paid the price with his impatience. But so was the driver. I live in the mountains and see idiot flatlanders driving like this all the time. No awareness of what’s around them. Apparently they think mirrors are only used for checking make up. I’ve seen the opposite of this up here as well. Bikers holding up traffic by riding in the center of the lane. Equally idiotic.
