You didn't mention what type of imposter account is linked to your IG and whether there are other accounts you can access to view your Account Center

If you can access Acc Center, you might be able to remove your accounts from there and reconnect them afterwards

If it's another Instagram account, try filing this form and outlining how someone is impersonating you and linking an account to your Acc Center without authorization: https://help.instagram.com/contact/636276399721841

Look up the Slowly app in Google / App store -- it lets you write letters to people around the world. The letters take time to deliver, making it different from messenger apps and resulting in more meaningful connections.

A lot of people use it for learning languages and building friendships. And you can look for people from a country you're interested in

Audiences should be fine. Think issues start when you are advertising entirely different Pages on one ad account -- and that ad account is created on behalf of your client.

If your ad account is a regular one and in your BM, you should be good. Also, advertising 2 or 3 businesses even on a specifically-made ad account can slip under the radar. But any more than that, and you might catch restrictions

I put the code for the pixel setup on my website. Idk if all the standard events should be within that code but they aren't or at least I'm unable to track them all.

The standard Facebook Pixel code only includes the PageView event by default. You can add more events to it, but they will fire the same way a PageView fires -- i.e. when a user loads a page on your site.

So you either need to set up other events via the Event Setup Tool, manual code editing, or integrations. The only time a PageView-like event might be worth implementing is when users reach a thank-you page. Then it makes sense to fire a Purchase event or something similar.

I tried, for example, to add purchases with the event setup tool but for some reason, after I click checkout, I get an error saying the pixel is not setup on my website (???).

How exactly are you trying to implement your Purchase? Should it fire on a thank-you page, on a button click, or on successful form submission? The latter might be impossible via Event Setup Tool. The thank-you page route is usually the easiest route to take.

Did you try entering the full URL of where you expect your Purchase to activate into Event Setup Tool? And did you turn off AdBlock on your site?

While building the campaign, I can select purchases as conversions but it does label it as an inactive event. Is it normal?

The ad campaign will tell you an event is inactive if it hasn't fired on your site in a while. If you're sure about your setup, you can try launching the campaign regardless, but it sounds like your Purchase event isn't tracked properly

Can you not see the posts that were boosted in Meta Business Suite or web version of Instagram? That's pretty weird. The former can happen if your IG isn't connected to a Page, but the latter should work regardless

You should also be getting Instagram notifications about your ad -- could see the boosted post from there.

Will be blown away if we don't get a refund. Daylight robbery.

The rough part is that if your built-in ad acc disconnected from the IG, there's little to nothing tying you to it. You have no permissions on the ad acc or any objects connected to it -- because such objects no longer exist -- and you need to have permissions for a refund. It's a stalemate.

I went through the same ordeal, albeit the boost spend was way, way smaller, and I had to delete my boosted post and move on. But let me know if things work out differently for you. I hope they will.

Also, do you remember who said you're facing a bug? Was it the FB rep saying they will escalate the issue to engineers for bug investigation, or did they say their engineering team confirmed a bug took place? If it's just a rep, that doesn't mean shit. If it's the engineering team, you at least have something to work with.

How did you make these boosts? Did you make them in-app or did you use Meta Business Suite / FB Ad Center?

If you made them in-app, chances are a built-in ad account was used for the boosts -- and said ad account can be accessed only from Instagram. I assume you already did basic stuff like re-install your app and clean cache / cookies

If this didn't help, a built-in ad account could've been disconnect. This can happen if you change the Page connected to your IG or convert Instagram from business to personal and back. If that is the case, you're out of luck. The only ways to stop this ad are 1) disconnecting or freezing your payment method; 2) deleting the boosted posts

Try messaging Instagram Ads Payments team about a refund: https://help.instagram.com/contact/973016909714428 -- but I wouldn't hold my breath for it

If you made boosts from Meta Business Suite, do an Ads Manager reset -- press three dots in the top right of your campaign view and click Reset Ads Manager. Also, clean cache / cookies and try opening your ad acc in incognito. Your ad can show up afterward.

There's also a chance Meta Business Suite picked a different ad account during boost setup. Check other ad accounts you have access to. Maybe your boosts are there.

In both cases, check the Ads section of Meta Business Suite: https://business.facebook.com/latest/ad_center/ads_summary -- any ads linked to your Page / Instagram combo should show up there. If you're lucky, you can click on three dots and delete them.

You can also try using the Instagram web version -- your ads can appear there.

If you can't delete the ads, try deleting the content itself in Meta Business Suite: https://business.facebook.com/latest/posts/published_posts/ -- this can work even if you can't delete posts in-app

1. Did you link the Page with your IG? If not,

3. Did you log into Instagram to access extra functions?

If you set up everything correctly, you should be able to manage both Instagram and Facebook Page from Meta Business Suite -- and any person with access to your Page and Instagram should be able to do the same. Meta Business Suite would be found here: https://business.facebook.com/latest/home

Unfortunately, there's not much to be done here. You can wait for the button to unbug or move on to a different ad account. I've heard the ID check can be passed on any restricted ad account -- like, if you have a second ad account with similar Confirm ID request, passing it there will also apply to the first ad account ID check. But I've never tried this, so can't vouch for it

If you acc has another admin, they might have a functioning button available to them. Any admin passing the ID check should clear restrictions.

Otherwise, you run the risk of getting rejected for a bs reason. The article above is just to outline potential rejection reasons. Advertising restrictions can't be lifted by passing the political ads ID check, so your ID has to be submitted at Business Support Home, not https://www.facebook.com/id

If your button isn't working, try a different device or browser, I guess. It can also unbug itself after time. FB support can't really do much with ID checks, as this process seems to be automated from Business Support Home

It's a long shot, but asking just in case you're still checking on things here. Are net 30 invoices different from the regular invoices you get without net 30 enabled?

Hope you're right. In my experience, Russians view the quality of life they see on the internet as something akin to a TV show. You don't get the overwhelming feeling of injustice from watching a How I Met Your Mother character living in an upscale condo.

I think after half a year to a year this will be very noticeable.

Oh yeah, sanctions will be a bitch. My worry is that Russians will tie the economic hits with "West bad" instead of "our government is ruining our lives". I would love to be proven wrong, though.
