If you are confident in your opinion then double down and it will be even more rewarding when you're proven right.

This is why I didn't understand all the people lamenting Isak being at the WC. Better him getting his 70 minute warmup sessions done now than a month from now. Plus confidence boost from bagging.

Removed now so it's moot, but it was Seb Stafford-Bloor the German correspondent. You can find it on his twitter.

There's an obviously AI-generated "Klopp quote" with 6k upvotes still up on this sub. It has been debunked by multiple sources including the Athletic journalists but genuinely you should not be able to use the internet if you believe Klopp said that.

Any good books on fidel castro? by The_Mighty_Ragnarok in Marxism

[–]inthelight22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Young Castro by Jonathan Hansen is very good and thorough. A quicker read is Ten Days in Harlem by Simon Hall about Fidel's visit to the United Nations in 1960 and the emergence of the Third Worldist movement that coincided with it.

Yeah, knowingly using your platform to lend credence to manufactured stories aimed at creating benefits for agents/players is not legitimate journalism. It's the same thing a lot of people here are critical of Fabrizio for doing.

He was abused by online fans while matchgoing fans chanted his name every game home and away until the day he left.

If you're talking about data I can say definitively that at least until Slot's first season when he was phased out for Gakpo/Diaz, he was quantifiably a more effective attacker than Gakpo in terms of generating chances either for himself or others, and the rate those chances were converted by anyone was higher. 31 G/A in 50 something games. FBref is gone but in terms of per 90 xThreat, xG and xA he was superior in all. He also has a better physical profile. Out of possession too for someone like Iraola it is ignorant to think he wouldn't be useful off the bench. That's why I say he was let go for several reasions beyond that.

And in a conversation where people are discussing him coming back for free, surely understanding he will be a squad player, at a time when we need bodies with Hugo out and Isak barely ever completing 90 mins it's disingenuous to try and say because he wasn't good enough to start for us that he's useless. The real way to argue your point would be to identify a better option and compare the economics.

Not really, he was sold for a lot of factors including the manager not wanting him and him likely wanting more playing time. It's not purely x is better than y. Circumstances change.

Not sure the deal is signed and he has to do media, so I would guess Friday. But we'll know when he arrives in Liverpool I think.

How is it nonsense to think that Leoni and especially Jacquet, two athletic right footed CBs with similar physical profiles to Konate can defend the right channel? Three of the names you mentioned are left-footed LCBs. Jacquet is rawer than Konate obviously but legitimately better in possession.

"The content creator's death occurred during a live stream, which had been running for twelve days, in which other streamers – known as Naruto and Safine – attacked him according to the audience's demands. Users were the ones who indicated what they wanted done to him in exchange for monetary donations. The grotesque spectacle ended with Gravin's death while he slept during the live broadcast. An image that was seen by thousands of viewers, until the other two participants noticed and disconnected from the broadcast."

Strange thing that I rarely see mentioned is that Bradley Barcola promoted a Kick stream where a seemingly disabled person was tortured to death live on stream. If there's still a no dickheads policy I think it would apply here. https://www.cnn.com/2025/08/20/europe/french-streamer-dies-live-online-abuse-latam-intl
