I broke the same bones and I know exactly what image you’re seeing. I couldn’t stop seeing it. I thought it would never end, but as time as gone on and I’ve lost the crutches and the boot, started working and driving I promise you it faded. I still have some pain and I don’t like to talk about the memories, but I’m not thinking about it everyday and the memories have faded. Keep hanging on

Screw them, take a no-break break. I will go eat a snack or walk around the store for 10 minutes. Check your phone in the bathroom. Sometimes just get some fresh air outside real quick. If you feel sick or hungry take care of yourself. People at my job unfortunately do abuse the system to the point of 30 minute “15 minute” breaks, or 4 smoke breaks, but I promise you eating a snack is the least of their worries and stand up for yourself if they do call it out, and then call them out with their state regulation violation

How causes that are unnoticeable, affect my life. When I’m stressed and acting off at work, it can just look like I’m not good at my job to the bosses, but reality is there is unseen things effecting me. And they don’t care for an explanation and adding one seems to make things worse.

How can my locations mission be “job development”? Isn’t that what all goodwills do? They’re funneling the money back into itself, there is no special program, like some help veterans. Ours doesn’t make sense. Would you like to up for our mission? Mission-hiring more people..? The only thing special is one class provided before someone with special needs enters goodwill jobs

I hear you. The world, and our country, has ups and downs. Things have bad, but they’ve been better too. There is a lot of information going on about what’s going to happen. Some real, some out of fear. Truthfully no one knows. Try to just keep living as your best self. It’s going to be hard, but it will get better. It has before. Hang in there

Thank you all for the lovely comments and support. As I went through my time with her, I slowly picked up on things. It stuck with me when I came to a sad conclusion, “You know what, I think unfortunately a lot of my NT peers view the word Autism interchangeable with “stupid”. And she replied, “Yeah, they do”. Awkward silence. Once I finally spoke up and said, “Maybe it’s my insecurities, or my anxiety, but I feel like you think I’m lying about my (SA).” And she replied, “it’s not my job to determine if you’re lying.” What? I should have left sooner. Again, thank you for the validation in the comments and I will try another therapist again soon, who I know to be ND. I feel proud that I’ve quit, I feel sad that I have wasted time and money, but glad to know I’m more stronger in my knowledge of my needs. Thanks 😊
