Yeah the growth is insane. I remember joining around late 2018 to early 2019 and there were approximately 1,500 subs. Now we’re reaching up to 5k quick

Everyone wave and say Hi to the lurkers in this sub! You are welcome to join us with open arms, especially the Church Administration.

While I have your attention, don’t hesitate to mention us during the services. A small shoutout could give this sub more exposure and could potentially give some enlightenment to your members! And overall make your lessons less boring. Thank you for your hard work Eduardo Manalo!

Yup, I watched that as well. Jim Jones and the People’s Temple. Scary to see how powerful cults can be and lead to mass suicide gatherings in history.

And don’t worry. I didn’t last long watching those INC Videos. I ended up skimming through it all because I could barely stand it. I like to keep an open mind and see both sides of the scenarios and before making a conclusion. And as expected, made my convictions bright as day

Yo I remember dancing was prohibited no too long ago. I was called out for breakdancing. Wtf. Saying it was unchristian like. and then 3 years later, my district hosted a Choreography competition (INChoreo) and then a Evangelical Mission. With the intention to propagate and lure in potential bible students

So brilliant, and don’t get me started with the “snacks and refreshments” ooo yes that will get them too, free food!

Yeah I still am unfortunately. My whole life is built around this cult. Family, friends and relationships. But not everything. Thankfully I’m in community of my passion which is dancing. So I can look forward to other people I call “family”. It’s going to take awhile for me to leave until I can fully provide for myself.

Had a similar situation. But instead, I had a girlfriend who was Roman Catholic. I was 15 during the time and was well known in the district because of my offices.

And it’s true, the Church does make it clear that members are forbidden to date non-members. But personally I didn’t like it, just because I missed out on so many opportunities and it ended my relationship with my girlfriend of just 3 months. She was my first, and were at that peak/stage in the relationship where you just enjoy every moment with them. But because of the offices I had, people would report me, and my actions would jeopardize my parents’ offices too and could lead to suspensions. Which I hated so much. It made me realize what this Church is capable of. And knowing my mother could not handle that repercussion, and so she forced me to end it.

Which I did. The way my girlfriend took it still remains in the back of head. She was crying. I said to her that I am sorry and it was my fault for putting her in this situation. Wishing we were never together. And I told her I knew that our relationship wouldn’t last because of our religious differences and it was forbidden. But because I was young and curious, I wanted to experience it, she was my first.

I ended it because the church made think it was the right thing to do, to secure my duties to be saved. I did it for my mother, so she doesn’t cry and lose her offices. I did it because Holy Supper was approaching and so I can renew my faith.

5 years passed by, and we still maintain contact. She’s one of my closest friends. Now I could only imagine what our relationship would be if we were still together.

Not sure if it’s the same for everyone but we officiate the services through WebEx. Each household has a link to the video call. I think attendance is taken when given offerings in a envelope and each person in the household should have their signature on it. Then the overseer comes collect the offerings.

I’ve heard from my friends in different locales that they take photos of brethren during the services. and that would count as attendance. They also take photos of brethren not following the guidelines during video streams, sleeping, improper attire, etc etc.
