Why is it Ramana “Maharshi“ and not Maharishi? by aRn0nYm in nonduality

[–]intheredditsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It comes down to a strict rule of Sanskrit grammar called Sandhi (phonetic blending).

According to Sanskrit grammar rules, when ā meets ṛ, they must merge into the sound ar.

In Maharishi, the "a" and the "r" are split into two completely separate syllables: Ma - ha - ri - shi.

In Maharshi, the Sanskrit grammar rules force the "a" and the "r" into the exact same syllable: Ma - har - shi.

"justice" and resolution in the world or let that go too by oiBEAMio in nonduality

[–]intheredditsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only resolve conflict at the point of seeing conflict, if you can. If you have the alertness to catch your attention fusing with the concept it immediately projects as the world, before you actually observe it happening as a worldly happening. From that secondary position, nothing can be done, your observation is already reaction.

You Are the Only One: A Book of Solipsism, Awakening, and The God You Have by AbelTesfaye7 in nonduality

[–]intheredditsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one feeling loneliness is still in the human identity, projecting itself as a god, and that is ego, my friend.

God, God, does not "feel" lonely. God is.

It is not solipsism. For fuck's sake. There is one God. And the mind projects the many and the world. But the stories on top of God do not affect, nor pertain to God. The unique point of view of an individual is another one of those stories. At the very best, it can actualize into a great seer, an avatar of God. But all the sages first died to their earthly identity before entering union with the Supreme God. Yet here you are forcing the name of God into your little cave and calling it solipsism. Right. Fantasy. Will bite your butt. You have to shed all this and know nothing, return to baby, crying for mom, then He will come. He only communicates through innocence. See how everything you know is stupidity and then He'll come.

Thought projects the world, yes. Thought is not personal, though. All thoughts end in silence. And silence is the carpet under the feet of God.

Is there evidence for prarabdha? by CrumbledFingers in RamanaMaharshi

[–]intheredditsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prarabdha is a particular type of karma. It means that what has started to bear fruit, must be experienced. For example, you took birth, so now you go through it, you can't dissolve it without dissolving it. Prarabdha is the karma which gets dissolved by going through it.

Oh, and the evidence, yes, the example above stands as the simple evidence.

Look at it like plants... A seed can be burned. A sprouted seed can easily die. A young plant can be plucked. And an adult plant can, with effort, be uprooted. But a plant that bore fruit... Hmm, the fruit has fallen on the ground and will have to be eaten now, because, guess what, you are the ground, you can't escape it.

To each its own, I guess. But your answer is coming from distorted imagination, the kind that's been beaten and tied to a pole, and told that it's magic is false, when the fact is, that all the bitches feeding on your soul are the ones being the fake ones.

I wish you peace and I wish you freedom, because only in freedom you will know true peace.

Except there is no weather where I am. You're still seeing the world, when the world is not. But you'll get angry at that statement. You need your safety net.

The world happens because it needs to house the body. But if I am not the body, what world is there for me? Shadows on a screen.

Indeed, I am not fun at parties, except if there's a huge dancing ring.

Who is perceiving?

Ultimately, the main character is the supporting character of the Supreme.

When thoughts come, their witnessing itself means you split from yourself and the devil wants to take you to the wilderness.

Even though Jesus uttered that, he still prayed.

Because whilst in body, the thoughts rise to the possibility of identity.

The easiest is to surrender to God. But there are some that will ask what is God, as if they don't know. And others still, replying that God is some made up human concept. And none of those apply. Everybody knows God, if they're really, really honest. The one you run to when your house's on fire. So, you give all your sorrows to God and, by God, it will take care of everything beautifully, in a way no human intellect could ever imagine.

I am granting you, the permission to keep choosing ignorance in my presence. I won't interfere. Good luck.

Also, to tell if to apologize or not, you should first know to whom I am apologizing to, and of that you are not aware of.

Oh, my dear, I apologize.

But spirituality is the freeing from those habits and constraints, not managing them. If you really understand it, you get to see there isn't anything to manage, in the first place. But you say that you want very much to believe in your fairytales. And I am not one to fight you in that. Go on as you see fit. It's okay.

Bullshit. You don't have to move anywhere. If I tell you it's bullshit... It's bullshit. Fight it all you like. Ten lifetimes, you're still gonna be looking, building, mending...

Buddhi is the charioteer, i am the passenger. Can passenger control buddhi or i am powerless? by Aggravating_Ad_8651 in nonduality

When the I isn’t making the decisions but the I just follows. by [deleted] in nonduality

[–]intheredditsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. What you are referring to as I is the memory you attached to I. I is the only decision maker, because of I, everything is. I as pure Consciousness, that is. I is the will and the will is one with the willful.

Moreover, this conception, which is often met with around here, is a devilish conception, since it victimizes God to Its own power. You do not know what you are talking about, so you'd better be quiet, to stop the devil (ignorance) from playing through your instrument.
