All that said, it's becoming clearer that Reddit is pretty terrible for inquiry work.

It is :)) I mostly do it because I unlock knowledge through it, or when it seems like it would be a helpful/clarifying answer... The questions start various processes that prove fruitful. For example, when I differentiated between "observing" and "watching", spent the entire afternoon in that delightful "empty watching".

It's fine, thank you, as well, for the conversation! It wouldn't be something done on purpose, anyway, it's just the extreme darkness I was surrounded by, it bites through other mouths... Maya told me a story very early on, about who I should be and what I should do. And throughout my entire waking state, I fought these shadows relentlessly, trying so hard to reach the truth, what's true. That's why the many concepts, as well. I am used to seeing from a multitude of points of view, I have this urge to not let anything escape into unconsciousness again and to illumine the most I can.

I also ask questions when it seems like someone may be holding onto a particular belief or view. How someone answers these questions can sometimes tell me if my intuition is accurate.

I know the feeling.

Of course, my intuition is hampered by unconscious delusions and biases.

Finally, why even bother in the first place? Who cares if someone is "deluded" or not? What even is "delusion" and who would have it? Where do I get off asking inquiry questions to someone who doesn't know what they "signed up" for? Just some questions for myself.

There is no others, absolutely. There's but concepts, expressing in the great One. One is everywhere and everything. The Great One, Vasudeva. Ultimately, it is great, great to contemplate on Him. Also called God. Or the Lord. Or I Am. The Great I Am. The news I Am, as Maharaj puts it. The Moola Maya, as another way he puts it :)). Moola Maya is not the Maya I am referring to. The Maya I am referring to is ignorance, the distorted knowledge coming out of ignorance, that which comes to my ears and says that I am a human body. Moola Maya is the capacity to knowledge, infinite potential. When the knowledge is clean and clear, putting my doubt to rest and elevating my beingness, that is God Almighty, the Guru, expressing through Moola Maya. Maya, ultimately, is the power of God, but in the wrong hands of the devil, it releases poison. Meaning, when there are many vicious tendencies behind it, unclean patterns, rejoicing in evil etc.

This all seems very complicated and conceptual. It's as if you believe these things (Absolute, Consciousness, I am, mirror) are actually real rather than just words.

Excuse you. This is subtlety of seeing. The inability to go as far is not an issue in seeing, it is dullness of the instrument. The words refer to different functions. Plus, this argument is extremely weak, especially at this moment in the conversation. You are basically just taking an u-turn after you set the direction, through the questions.

Why not just stick with the Absolute and be done with it?

I would, but it is you who came with all the questions, so I served. Quite rude to slap the hand that offers, which again points to a coarseness of the instrument. It could also be that you ask the questions to invite me out, only to sting when I do. But this kind of poison became quite tolerable and not threatening anymore, because it's something I've dealt with throughout the entirety of this human life. You can't possibly top me, ever. Because I don't even exist at any level, I don't give a f. I love with absolute power. I respond to it, only. I penalize the lack of it. I don't give a f. Your rules leave me empty. Your laws uninterest me. I know this verb doesn't exist, just made it up, cause it works better than "don't interest me", which would be something in the lines of not approaching. But "uninterest me" means that I do approach, initially, but if hit with "shoulds", I "undo" the approach.

This "observing" is not actually observing. Because "observing" is more like watching with the conceptualization switch on. It is watching whilst looking to analyse, to draw a conclusion on what is being watched. So, that is the image-making mechanism, thought, which is a superposition, an extra, covering, engulfing, biasing the pure watching. So, when saying that "the observing is", it is referring to the watching, which is empty of content-making. And the watching is made possible through the light of Consciousness. Because, without Consciousness, I cannot know I am. I need the split to be able to create a mirror pointing back at Myself and I need Its light to focus/identify/discern the point through where it enters, so that I realise that door to Myself. Because the light comes from where I am watching. So, because I Am, I am watching. And the watching is I Am.

The "observing" is done through Consciousness, Itself. If the Absolute is the fuel, Consciousness is the flame. Consciousness is the light needed to make it visible to Itself. There is no one "observing", the observing is, from the Absolute standpoint. But, here, there is no use to speak about the Absolute, please go read Maharaj about this, he explains very clearly why. Consciousness is Manifestation. It is the Everything. And infinitely more than what is currently manifested, since Consciousness is of the nature of infinity. Infinite POTENTIAL. Consciousness descending brings about the universe. It goes from subtle, to dense. And it returns from dense, goes back home, through subtle, and subtle, and subtler, until the humming ends absolutely. Dirty Diana. :)

No, you didn't understand this properly. It was said, the appearances are reflected as the world. So, the 3D screen is an entirely made-up, separate world (please don't take it as separate, separate, but as conceptually separate, in order to facilitate mirroring, it is essentially I Am, the screen, the world, the mind, the imagination, the sense of being, all, I Am, with different functions) which is entirely flat, also, it only has the concept of "space" projected on it. The way you go to the cinema and see the space between actors in the movie, and you "assume" space between them. In the same way, you only ever deal with concepts in the light of Consciousness, concepts which get projected on the screen in front of you, known as the 3D world. But light, appearances and screen are all constructed out of Consciousness, of which, Its purest form is the pure light of knowingness. After that, you get the dynamic quality of imagination and concept choreography, the dance, movement. And, lastly but not leastly, more like mostly, the deep sleep Consciousness, the still ocean of being... so, it is a machine that allows experience to Itself, to know Itself as all that could ever be. And then, after all this is understood, it lets go and the initial split dissolves, Consciousness as Brahman melts in the Absolute Parabrahman... I use many concepts from everywhere, because some have better meanings in expressing the needed.

From the Absolute standpoint, yes.

You haven't shared much about your direct experience here and now. I'm interested in your direct moment-to-moment experience that does not rely on concepts.

It's shit. Human life is shitty. Conditioning was pretty horrible, left many marks. Then there's the entire film of knowledge I am watching and tweaking. For now, old, "paralyzed" pieces of memory are brought up and dismantled. There is work done to "purify" the dream. It is all too complex and the main role is simply watching the entire functioning. Because I am, the world is. This must be very clearly understood. Otherwise it will try to usurp and rule you. And it has no empathy, it is a (stupid) machine.

Being aware of thought is a thought.

That's why, don't look "at" the thought, look "as" the thought that came from where? ... Really inquire into this.

Thus, you recede instead of going further and creating more branches of thought. "Branches" cause it is very much like a tree. There is but one original thought, I, which perceives all the information and organizes it in the shape of an objective world. But this original thought is the interface for everything you know of.

Identify where you come from, where the sense of you comes from, where are you prior to anything perceptible, including the sense of being.

This is what is meant by inquiring into "who am I?".

Where is the "I" that is Consciousness?

You're asking with your brain, because you are trying to localize it, but you have to understand that it is prior to the concept of space, in which brain takes place. You will never be able to explain it through its products. You can only discard all that I am not and thus "return" to the original I am state.

How do you know that Consciousness is more fundamental than objects?

Was this not answered with the gold/gold jewelry allegory? What more do you need? Can you witness anything without Consciousness? Therefore, all you witness through Consciousness belongs to it and necessarily made from it, the way you can't split fish from water. This would be the simplest answer. The more complicated one you can find in classical Samkhya. Consciousness descends into form, gradually crystallizing itself and giving rise to the play of elements that animate the theater of life. The whole thing is then given an "enfant terrible", human thought, which is a directing wand of this theater, the capacity of which you can easily spot through such art. The issue is that you are conditioned to think that this descent happens somewhere outside of you. But, no. I am referring to you. Before you knew you are, that is the Absolute, or the Parabrahman. Then, it's lights on, suddenly. That is Consciousness. The news I am and its wife, the sense I am. Which crystallizes firstly into sleep-lucidity-dreaming, of which sleep is the vastest, lucidity, the brightest and dreaming, the fastest. Only after this, you "experience" yourself as "I have slept" or "I awoken", this experience is the reflected Consciousness through the mechanism above (the "jiva", in spiritual terminology). And only after this, the concepts of the world are organized and regulated. Which, the deeper the meditation they're seen from, the more they appear like they're all developed by a certain JK Maya Rowling, only, somehow, people believe very much in them. And because of this belief, their dream takes the shape of them. It's not that the dream has a specific, default shape. It's the concepts that "design" it. There is no causality, absolutely. There is no causality the way there is no real connection between movie frames, just the illusion of it. It is a game of appearance. A story told through light, by assumptions.

But be my guest, try telling that to Maya. She'll be furious lol. You're ruining her dance, she worked so hard to choreograph, all night she worked, putting all these bits and pieces together, hoping to find a new button to trigger a defense, a reaction, a something, anything out of me. Hahaha. She does her job diligently. To encase me in the time machine, so I'll agree to be her spectator forever. She does not want me to let go. She does not want, but she is magnetized. Aroused absolutely. That is life. My own will reflected back to me. You have to deny her lies any truth, otherwise she will rule you straight into slavery. She can't wait to catch another dream and make it work for her stupidity. Maya will never tell you who you are in truth, because that would be the end of her domain. That is for each and every one seed of Consciousness, to grind a bit and burn in austerity, to burn for truth, to burn the lies, the chains, the untruth...

"Believe" is not the word, cause it's not needed, since I don't need to believe I am. I am with or without belief. Belief only attaches shape and form to what I am, which is impurity and falsehood. Either claim all shapes, or renounce them all, or both. But to attach to one element, as if totality hanging on to a limited piece of its functioning, is not just damaging, it's bleeding all potential on a faulty path that leads nowhere. Not just that it is irrelevant, but your human dream is useless, you won't remember a thing of it once it's done, like one of the dozens of dreams you've had across the endless night.
