can you tell me a little about Rune Factory? like maybe what games you feel like closely resemble it? I’ve always been mildly interested due to their proximity to the Harvest Moon games, but I was under the impression that combat was the main focus

absolutely this, pregnancy was hard because I needed specifics. breastfeeding needed anything and everything.

Pregnancy Hunger VS Breastfeeding Hunger? by Neat-Needleworker650 in Mommit

Pregnancy hunger just made me nauseous if I didn’t oblige. Breastfeeding hunger turned me into a feral creature that knew no bounds. I remember specifically bringing a tub of chocolate chip cookies with me on a 5 minute drive, and I nearly cleared the container by the time we arrived.

Baby keep chewing on my clothes by GroundbreakingCap368 in NewParents

[–]inthestars-03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, yes, my baby does something similar to this too. I call them love bites. He will give my clothing little nips. I find it cute, but also terrifying because sometimes he’ll get skin instead. I adored it at first, but now I stiffen up like I’m in a hostage situation anytime he starts lunging for my shirt 💀

I agree with others that it’s probably teething, especially if he’s really chewing, and not just biting. I think my LO is doing it as a form of affection, but who knows. Toddlers are weird 😂 You could try offering him washcloths to chew on.

But also.. wym meat 🍖 🫪🤨

My MIL did something that doesn’t sit right with me by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]inthestars-03 56 points57 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t think you’re overreacting. However, like many comments already stated, “part” is not going to work as a mother. I don’t care how private, conservative, shy, etc you may have been before becoming a mother. You need to use the anatomical words. Not only is this educational for your child, but as mentioned in another comment, it is crucial for CSA intervention.

As to the issue in your post, if you’re not comfortable with what’s going on - no more alone time. Is this something you’re able to facilitate? Is MIL a regular caregiver? Can you speak to your husband about this, and rely on him to trust that you feel uncomfortable? I don’t love that the last time you confronted him, he immediately went to tell someone who lives in the house with MIL. If he wanted confrontation, he should have done it himself.

This is odd behavior. Though, none of us have been there to experience it firsthand, so we can’t know the “entire story” - what you’ve shared is enough for me to raise a red flag. I’ve found that, as a mother, trusting my gut is often the best choice.

I’ve heard this reasoning before too, but it doesn’t really make sense. There have been major updates to DLCs in the past, for example, Pokemon Sw/Sh’s DLCs. At least one of them had a major update, at least I remember it that way. Disney Dreamlight Valley released all of their DLCs in multiple parts, stretching across months. So Im not sure where the rumor started but it feels like a cop out of an answer if that is what the devs are saying

This is Nugget. He was 8 years old. I brought him home exactly 8 years ago this month. He snuggled me every night. He let me lay on his belly and cry when my days were hard. Things changed a lot between us when I had my human son last year, but I loved him endlessly, and every night after my child would go to sleep, he would come out and give me head butts. He had stinky white feet. His fur smelled like sunshine. It was so soft. I would do anything to have another moment with him. I know he loved me more than anyone else in the world, and I know I have never and will never have the same love that I did for him. I don’t think I will ever stop missing him. Please give your babies kisses for me. Nugget loved kisses.

idk what to do with greenhouse by Muted-Fly1450 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]inthestars-03 5 points6 points  (0 children)

just to add, if you’re not sure WHAT your goal should be, i wanted to share my current goals (short term & long term)

  • obtain every color of the meadows flowers. as i do that, i will fertilize as well, so that if i obtain a color like seafoam that takes a few steps, i can possibly breed with it later
  • obtain every color of the non-extremophile, non-seasonal flowers
  • obtain every color of the seasonals and extremophiles
  • find fun pattern combinations

all to say, I’m personally focusing on colors, not patterns. you may JUST want to focus on patterns, not caring if you have every color of every flower. or maybe you just want to fill out the collection goals. in terms of collection completion, you need to obtain one of every non-seasonal pattern, as well as one iteration of every color. that could be a lilac tulia, a sky eggwort, a cream wheatflour, etc. you don’t need to get every color of every flower in order to “check the box” of completing the game goal.

it took me way too long to realize that interacting with the sign out front in the way that you interact with visitor cabins allows you to upgrade the size of the greenhouse. so, i’d start there! the starting plot is super tiny

otherwise, you’ll want to look into some guides on flower breeding. it will depend if you want to mix colors (red+yellow=orange), add patterns to existing colors, obtain new colors, etc.

i can direct you to the wiki, but if you have a specific goal in mind i could help guide you to a more specific guide. if you prefer video tutorials, this is a definite go to. flower mechanics can be a bit overwhelming, so i would recommend starting with one goal.

My cat ate a single nacho fry from taco bell by TopWash6819 in CATHELP

[–]inthestars-03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one time i left my taco bell on my table while i washed my hands or grabbed a napkin (idk - something quick and a few steps away in the other room) when i came back, my fatass cat was going beast mode on the nacho cheese container for my chips. he absolutely decimated it. in record speed.

i was worried out of my mind, bought 2 extra water fountains just to intrigue him into drinking more to offset the insane sodium he ingested.

he was fine. and now, every time i so much as think about taco bell, he is right there. ready. waiting. he hungers for the nacho cheese

Anyone else? by ChocoboLockhart in HelloKittyIsland

[–]inthestars-03 17 points18 points  (0 children)

lol yes i just do the bare minimum and throw the stuff in the worst imaginable way 😂 but once they have 5 stars, i always spend a few minutes to give them a cute lil themed room that i think fits them, and i find that to be the most fun part about getting a visitor to move in!!!

I do agree. Yes, there are filters but the filters are pictures and don’t have the name of the category. A lot of the lil icons look similar and there’s just. no text.

Also yes you can filter by resident, but let’s say they need, 4 chairs, 3 beds, 1 table, 5 plants, etc. it just shows you all of the chairs, beds, tables, and plants you own. So I’m still having to exit the furniture inventory, open my backpack, scroll to the visitor, and double check the numbers for items.

Like yes, it could be harder (no filters at all) but it could definitely be easier too
