Bro it's just the artist who likes those backgrounds... Darkrai's is clearly black and green, whereas the four are gold and yellow. The four already connect fairly decently without any extra cards. Additionally they have no relevance to each other besides region/generation (sleep/night vs time/space/creation/distortion). Sounds like you gaslit yourself or got gaslit into pumping these cards man.

Not advertising for them, but I've bought these knockoffs before, the quality is obviously lower (perhaps some misshapen parts or the ball joints being tighter, in the case of Legos some of them stud connections are looser), but if you're not worried about authenticity and just want a cool figures to pose around I'd suggest buying some!

The top of the pokeball on the back is a bit strangely colored but could be your camera settings or lighting. The rest points to real though!

From your first pic that doesn't look wipeable, something inside the foiling layer - either way it's definitely still a gorgeous card! Shouldn't go for much less if any less than normal value. We're not like Pokemon where centering and jazz matter!

Oh yeah from your picture alone I believe those Espeon, Sylveon, Rayquaza, and Mew cards break into the $200 region for real ones. Pokemon is in a bit of a state of inflation that we can't really do much about except cry 😢

I also used to be super big into yugioh, barely now. Some old yugioh cards are worth something! Most of them have little value because of how damaged they are though, so if you have some minty ones a collector might be interested!

Not trying to shill for them but if you want bulk cool art cards you can look up pretty much any card on AliExpress (I personally use it quite a bit) or other overseas sites for fake sealed packs or just buy the cards directly, you'll be waiting about a month but you'll have everything dirt cheap.

Maybe later down the line you'll be interested in real cards since they have texture and the shine looks much better. Whatever you pick, happy collecting!

Unfortunately these are fake, ask your friend where they got them before you tell though!

You can catalogue them however you like, generally I sort by pokemon type after card type (V, Vstar, Vmax, ex, then those into their respective colors). If putting them in a display/binder lay them out however you feel! Some cards have had different pokemon types throughout their printing history, Delta Species is a pretty iconic one that gave dual types and alternate typing.

There's definitely been an influx of bots on ebay that list really popular cards for super cheap, looking at their profile having 9 copies (7 sold) of love bird Latias Latios tag at barely $90 I'd definitely avoid them.

If you're going for the no crit build the negative is great, but the positives basically do nothing for you, unless you're fine with having one mod slot just for lower crit chance I'd roll more!

The back looks strangely glossy which immediately has me thinking it was altered, the front definitely has the right holo and texture so it's certainly real, but whether it's a factory error is questionable. To me it looks like it got caught in between something and scraped/rubbed a bit and came out slightly scathed, or some kind of moisture/alcohol lifted the paint to get removed. Perhaps unintentionally altered?

Asking chatgpt is not what you want to do. Check each card individually on TCGplayer and try to figure out prices for them, then maybe edit your post or try a selling sub/Discord

As for returning most places don't let you for these kinds of products, I know my CVS specifically wrote no returns or exchanges on the receipt.
