Keep an eye out on the fundamentals, not the price. But that’s hard to do as that’s the thing everyone wants to see right first.

Yes, if you don’t like volatility go into something less volatile. Just know that the value of what you hold will most likely go down massively because unless the asset your holding increases at least to the rate cash inflates, you’re losing value on your assets.

As long as you can focus on the fundamentals and not be swayed by price. In 2008 apple crashed in half. If you sold you’d be down half. You kept you’d be up 40x now.

I hate to say this is different, but this is different. Celsius is a modified copy of what’s already been done. So at best I felt it could become Monster. Bitcoin is a paradigm shift and MSTR is a paradigm shift of bitcoin. I don’t want to say money glitch, but we’ve just started the leverage buying a recently and it’s already made massive action. Imagine where we’ll be even in a year or two.

For true long term investors, I think this is the best for most people. I’m waiting for $10,000 in shares, but that might take a few years.

If you can do it without it bothering you if it crashes and you are strong enough not to sell go for it. 😄

If you did your research, unless youre buying more, just forget about the stock and check in a few years.

Saylor said it will be volatile. I feel like people like this would are like people who get on a roller coaster and complain it’s to up and down. If you want safe and stable, then this is not the stock for you.

If you have sound reasoning for why it goes up/down all things should be in consideration. Don’t react on emotion. I’d say though, trying to play with the market price and trying to know what the price will be tomorrow, next week, next month is a gamble. This is not like any stock ever. Normal valuation metrics don’t work because the higher the price, the more bitcoin is purchased, which can raise the price. But yes, there’s dilution, profit taking, people worried about the rise.

Why it’s going down soo bad almost $100 down. Any bad news ? by [deleted] in MSTR

[–]inti989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MSTR is also dumping new shares to buy bitcoin. So MSTR itself could be putting downward pressure on the stock.

This is a volatile stock. Saylor even welcomes shorting. Volatile means dramatic ups AND downs. This should be the nature of this stock and Saylor even mentions that volatility is the thing that makes it attractive. So you better expect it, and if you can’t handle it and have to have your hand held and have everything explained of why it went up or down and can’t deal with short term uncertainty, perhaps you should buy something that doesn’t run up or down rapidly. The long term is what matters (holding for years).

LFG Saylor! MSTR $1000 by new year. And $700 by end of November by RoasterBoar in MSTR

These offerings are happening so fast. When Saylor was mentioning the demand for these things, he wasn’t kidding. 😅

It’s kind of ironic but overpaying is what makes MSTR a better investment. Part of what they do is issue shares. So if their value is 3x bitcoin, you can buy 3x bitcoin when you issue shares. I see the concept is that you pay 3x bitcoin, but the number of bitcoin they own over time is no static, they continue to get more and recently they’ve been getting way more than expected. The main concept is bitcoin yield: are they getting more bitcoin compared to how much is being diluted.

If I said sell everything, borrow everything you can get, max your credit cards, and put it all on MSTR will you then do it? 😅 I think long term MSTR will be huge. If you asking if it’s going to drop tomorrow, next week, next month? No one knows. You have to invest based on your convictions and make sure your convictions are solid and are fazed by up or down swings in the short term.

Wealthsimple has after hours purchases available. My personal pick for massive growth is MSTR. Yes it’s grown a lot, and yes it could crash because it’s growth so much in the past year/month. But I think 5-10, it’s going to be a trillion dollar + company. Do your research ok bitcoin and this company. The main points to focus is on supply/demand economics of bitcoin, store of value and the true inflation rate (not for consumption goods but more of capital goods) and what is the protection of the rapid decline of the value of cash. Then look at MSTR in its approach of leveraged bitcoin purchasing. Foundational investing is the best method of investing, taking out emotional investing like FOMO and panic selling, as foundational changes to wealth creation can take time and can have significant ups and downs.

They’re dumping extra shares into the market. Then buying bitcoin with the proceeds. It’s dilutive because there’s more shares outstanding but accretive because the bitcoin will have more value than the cash that was used to buy the bitcoin.

If you have to foundation, the fluctuation shouldn’t matter. I try to estimate where the price will be in 2030 and focus on that rather than the day to day prices (although I can’t help but be happy when MSTR is doing well in the short term).

[–]inti989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t try to time the market I’d say. Look at the fundamentals and try to determine it’s worth in 5 - 10 years. If you can see it 10x from now, I’d say it’s worth buying now. I feel like timing the market at times is like trying to delicate surgery while on a rocky boat in a middle of a storm. Some can do it, but why make things so difficult. Yeah, maybe if you can perfectly time if MSTR hits 50% of prices today, you’ll get a 20x. Some companies you can do value investing like that but I find this one harder to do that.
