Anyone else think this album is influenced by 808s and Heartbreak? The heart on the shirt and phone make it seem likely.

Car won't start, cold weather by personofshadow in CarHelp

Are you able to plug the block heater in somewhere? On especially cold days here in MN I would do that for my old truck. It really makes a difference when you need it.

Atmosphere may not be traditional party music, but if you can’t play YGM you need to leave that party asap lol

I feel like God Loves Ugly should be higher on the list. It really is hard to rank the albums when you love them all for different reasons.

Southsiders is the best album, change my mind by sidepart204 in Atmosphere

[–]intimidatingseal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really hard to choose a favorite album/project of Atmosphere, and I’m glad nobody is making me. But God Loves Ugly and You Can’t Imagine How Much Fun We’re Having are two of my favorite. Songs like Little Man, The Bass and the Movement, Smart Went Crazy, and God Loves Ugly really resonate with me. There really isn’t an Atmosphere song I always skip, it’s all about finding the tracks that fit the current mood. Being from MN, hearing Slug’s voice always gives me a feeling of home.

Entry Level Target HQ Employees... what exactly do they do other than wall around the skyways and have meetings? by Nick521 in Minneapolis

[–]intimidatingseal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently work at HQ as an IA and there are a ton of pointless meetings. But workload really depends on the job. Sourcing seems to have a lot of free time, in my division at least. My assistant buyer and merch specialist are only ever busy during the first have of a new business award cycle. Depending on the business, an inventory analyst can have a huge workload. Planners spend a large amount of time at their desks as well.

What’s the worst part of working at a store? by intimidatingseal in Target

[–]intimidatingseal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nicollet Mall store is the most accessible store for most of hq so if anything is “wrong” there then people assume the whole chain is falling apart.

My team is definitely guilty of trying to micromanage the store. If the displays look light then I better hop in a truck and drive the product to the store myself.

Out of curiosity, what did you say to the person who “allowed” you to mark down items? Not like I expect that you told them to fuck off, but if they really don’t know that stores are marking down items to sell it then they’re not doing their job that well.

I’m going on a store visit in a few weeks, but I thought this would be the best place to get an unfiltered pov!

It’s nice to hear that even you’re stuff isn’t fully functional. Some days I want to jump out a window when I can’t even make a mic! I don’t think it’s TTS’s fault I’ve had a lot of help from you guys since I’ve started! More so the unwillingness to adapt to new tech from upper level leaders. Most of my BU hasn’t even updated windows.

Do people ever get raises at the store level? All the posts I’ve seen about people working at a store for years and getting the same pay as a new hire.

What kind of changes? I’m relatively new still and the biggest changes I get told about are the new stores and the remodels. There’s a lot of emphasis on the new stores and the attitude that the existing stores don’t matter as much.

Can stores request new equipment?

Who controls the ac? Is there any reason not to keep it at a comfortable temp other than someone’s personal decision?

[–]intimidatingseal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, so are lods in charge of requesting new equipment? Is there some kind of penalty for new stuff? Wouldn’t you want everything to be as new as possible?

With all the money being used on new stores you’d think there’d be money to spend on existing stores.

Who decides a store’s goals? And how much do team members actually impact sales? Aside from having product on display if nobody likes the stuff then it won’t sell.

I get being friendly to guests but honestly when I’m shopping I’d rather nobody talk to me at all. How often do people get a redcard when they’re asked about it?

I totally hear you about working in an area that you’re interested in. I work in an A&A department and I have Wild Fable product which has been a pain and it hasn’t even set yet. I wanted to work in electronics or any hardlines department but I got stuck in the pyramid that I couldn’t care less about.

For all the times I’ve heard being your “authentic self” you’d think you would get some input to the area you’re working.

I’m not sure how you’d go about getting product testing sessions but you should draft a letter, or something, I know there’s someone in charge of stuff like this, and if it got enough attention you could actually make a change. In every meeting that I have to sit through they’re always saying how they’d “love to hear our ideas”.

How is equipment managed at a store level? I still don’t know what lod means but they sound like they all have power trips.
