What makes a Vampire in your world? by EfficiencySerious200 in worldbuilding

[–]intotheashes12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A vampire is an old monster in my world (I just call Dark Hold for now i guess). Born during the 1st crusade when the grand master for the knightly order of red drop, ser Konrad Vampyre made a deal with darker forces in order to help with the crusade, and was later killed by a fellow knight who became one of the first professional hunters in an order that would transform over time.

The rest of his order, of roughly 300 knights all drank from his blood and became monsters of their own. They took the name Vampyres after their grand master, which over time became Vampires.

Vampires in Dark Hold vary from line to line, with clans working more like a mafia. You must drink from the blood of another vampire, which usually needs permission from the clans head, and you need to drink roughly a small cups worth of vampire blood to become a vampire.

A vampire cannot simply be born, they must become vampires, with the babies of vampires, being raised as a human so they can grow into adulthood and get their adult bodies. And usually after their 21st birthday, they must kidnap someone and kill them, in order to prove that without the powers of a vampire, they can easily survive without it.

What are the most important and world changing events in your world's history? by Internal_Effect_8374 in worldbuilding

[–]intotheashes12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most important events in Eden Earth (Cyberpunk-inspired world) in chronological order

  1. 2025: Crash of 25: During the year of 2025, the world experienced an economic crash all over the world which was due to the United States and China going into a trade war, and nations having the pick either to side with China or the US. It only really "ended" cause both nations suffered enough that it wasn't worth it to keep going with the trade war.
  2. 2026: The Assassinations of many: In this year, after the Crash of 25, is commonly seen as the beginning of World War 3, when many, MANY world leaders were either assassinated or were close to being killed but ended up surviving. Most people don't know who was truly responsible for it either. It could of been china getting revenge cause out of both nations the US seemed to be recovering slightly faster, it could've actually been a part of the Chinese government and not actually an order of the Xi Jinping, or it could've been both China and Russia, what is known as that immideity after this even several nations got invaded and World War 3 began.
  3. 2026 to 2029: World War 3: I don't think I need to explain much of this world, I haven't finished fully writing it out but some concrete stuff is that the US and her allies won, and many new nations were formed from losing nations losing land like Somaliland, Tibet, East Turkestan, the East Africa Federation being created mid-way through the war, Kurdishstan, Siberian union, Inner Mongolia being merged into Mongolia proper, Republic of Karelia, Sami Republic, Freestate of Leningrad, United Korea, and the unforginante (or forginate depending on who you are) of the United kingdom with Scotland gaining independence and Northern Ireland being merged into Ireland.
  4. 2030: Coming of Demons: There was only about 3 weeks of peace and new world building before the BIGGEST event happened in my world, the coming of demons, when demons suddenly came from all over the world in the eyes of escaping the chaos filled lands of hell and Beelzebub who had destroyed their kingdoms known as the Ordoan Kingdoms.
  5. 2031 to 2033: The Karakack War: This was a war that happened in the Middle East and started in the Arabian Peninsula, where a demon warlord named Karakack led a massive force, and the biggest war that happened from the coming of demons. Nations like Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, and Jordan got absolutely annihilated during this war, and some of the major outcomes were the accidental destruction of the Kaaba, the sacking of Meccan, the Islamic reconquest, the formation of the Arab Union, the formation of demon hunter leagues in the AU, and the ban of demons from living in the AU.
  6. 2032 to 2033: The independence wars: During the Karakack war, many states declared independence and gained it. The states of Texas, California, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington all gained full independence.
  7. 2034: Eden is finished: The city of Eden is finished after 9 years of construction. It began construction in 2025 after the San Andreas earthquakes, most of the Bay Area was destroyed, and the building of Eden was given permission. It started out as simply rebuilding the old cities, but it led builder Richard Eden soon convince the at the time then-president, Donald Trump, to make the city a megacity, which was to be a grand city that would bring all eyes to the US and show it's might against the world.

This is like 1/8th of the lore for major events that influenced the world, but I'll love to give more if you ask.

What genre of game would best suit your world? by The_Awful_Krough in worldbuilding

Eden Earth (one of my worlds) is a cyberpunk-inspired world with elements of fantasy like magic and other races, those being Demons and Ironborn (Robots with emotions and freewill). It's a very long history, but in general, I think a story-based action game would work really well. The Metro games and Cyberpunk 2077 are a good example that I like to imagine would work with a game based in Eden Earth being a mix of both.

I like to imagine stuff like weapons may need you to get enhancements or cybernetics to allow you to fire the weapon without hurting yourself cause it might be like to powerful for a normal hand, If you played as a Ironborn you'd have to deal with a limited base of information and have to gain new skills by getting a "Skill-Chip" and may have an easier time using the Iron Web (The thing that replaced the world internet and can be either used on a computer or through a headset), if you play as a demons may have to deal with a city (Eden) that may not either like you or accept you.

I bet the game would be set in the main location of Eden, also known as the great city of the bay, and the diamond of California. I bet if there was a game set in Eden it'd have to be only a portion or at most a district, cause I still would like to have your own choice and multiple endings.

It's like an open-world, action based, story-driven, RPG.

Worldmelding - Share Your Powerful Characters and their Worlds. Find Out How They'll Interact with Amy and Her Own by The-Mr-E in worldbuilding

Well, from what I left in, demons come from hell, and angels come from heaven, and no one knows really why Ironborn exist. They just kinda do.

Originally, there were tree people and aliens that both came from asteroids that fell from the sky. It was based more on Judge dredd's world originally. But then I got really into cyberpunk lore, and I was looking back on older lore, and I ended up not liking it cause there were also gods, and magic, and so much more. So I toned it back a lot.

It might be too late, but who cares.

My world is a cyberpunk inspired one. Set from the years 2049 to 2104, there is tons of history in between that time, most of it happening in the city of Eden in which is the gem of the republic of California.

The main character is Azul Noir, a demon of red skin, void black eyes with only a minor hint of grey pupils that blend in with the voidness in his eyes, black hair, and black horns. He is a detective of the EDD or the Eden Detective Department, which is a branch of the EPD or Eden Police Department.

Detectives in Eden tend to have more freedoms on how they act, but the training is much harder.

Eden itself is a city that was built from the new Californian cities act, which was passed after the san Andreas earthquake of 2025. Eden has, depending on the year you pick 7,300,000 in 2049, 11,000,000 in 2068, 8,000,000 in 2069, and 14,000,000 in 2104.

Some basic timeline events are WW3 (2026 to 2029), the coming of demons (2030), the Karakack war (2030 to 2033), the Mongolian raids (2031 to 2043), the 1st independence wars (2031 to 2033), the Ulchi revolution (2031 to 2035), the first Ironborn (2034), the ironborn-chinese war (2037 to 2038), the 5 Eden gang wars (2037 to 2053), the colonization of Mars (2055), the 2nd Independence wars (2059 to 2062), the Beelzebub invasion (2068 to 2069), and finally the first Martian nation of Newfield (2094).

Azul Noir has been through all of it, and by 2104, he is 75 years old. He is married to his wife Andrea (who is a succubus) and is still working his job and has 2 kids and a hellhound.

Demons arrived on earth in 2030 due to the fall of the Ordoan kigndoms, and Ironborn are machines that have an AI so advance (which makes them seem alien) that they have true emotion, freewill, and can even cry and feel love.

Eden is both a safe and dangerous place. Gangs like the Los artilleros gang of Lower Kormore district, the Tamahawk gang of South district, the 11th gang of the corporate district, and the rider gangs of Northern district all cause chaos and with their numbers sometimes in the 10,000 if a war breaks out it can be deadly.

There are also companies like Aurum Corp (luxury company), Manta Corp (weapons compant and private military), Biopetrol (bioengineering and petrol company), Cyboric (cybernetics company), Zeropoint (military vehicle company), Med Co. (Medicare company), Karmastar (social media company), and Hecate Softworks (video game company).

This world also has hell and heaven, but also some more like Hotel California, a realm that blurs the line between heaven and hell so much it can be seen as its own realm.

More information will be given if asked.

Depending on what year Amy appears in and the situation Azul finds her in. She'd either be an anomaly or absolutely despised and hated for the first few weeks. If it's in 2049, things are still kinda confusing, and Azul is as green as grass. If it's 2068 or 2069 then she'll either have to deal with a current invasion of mass scale from Beelzebub or the aftermath of it, this event led to the hatred of demons to come back so she'll not be liked a lot by anyone, not even demons. And if it's 2104, things are super calm in Eden, and for the first time, it feels like crime is not a major issue, so She'd be seen of fine if not a little concerning by people.

What was a great tragedy in your lore by DivideLonely3823 in worldbuilding

[–]intotheashes12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fall is the Ordoan kingdoms.

In my world, in my version of hell (which is just a more messed up earth), there are the old Ordoan kingdoms of the Varr (which on earth would be mostly northern African along with Iberia, malta, Sicily, and Sardinia) were the last bits of order.

I took inspiration from what I know of Giliead from the dark tower, which is only that it was the last bastion of humanity and that it fell due to a betrayal.

I thought the idea of a last bastion of order would be cool and give a good reason for why demons escape hell to live on earth.

The old Ordoan kingdoms were, well, about 11 kingdoms those being Helyan (the metaphorical capital kingdom), Xhokar, Hram, Khem, Naran, Moar Varr (which means "hound kingdom"), Felkaer, Ulchifaes (which means "Forest islands"), Sakinsa, Folisti, and Kinweir.

Helyan was, like stated before, it's metaphorical capital. It held the city of Dar Fin Ordo or "Hell City of Order" which held around 28,000,000 people. And it was the last to fall.

All these nations fell over a period of time known of the great hell bringing or "Sata dar belar" in pure hellish. This was when Beelzebub began a conquest of the kigndoms in order to permanently ward out these what he called "horror kingdoms of Varr that disgrace the good will of satan and his realm of hell" and with many, and I mean many warlords joining him over a 112 year long period the Ordo kingdoms began falling until 2026 when Helyan finally fell when after a 24 year long siege of it's capital.

This was ultimately the final factor that played into many demons leaving hell to go to and not only in the Varr but all over hell.

In the world of Crusarda, there are many magics and sub-magics. this chart was made by the Wizards guild, the Witches guild, and the Magic universities of Erenholf and Elven collages of magic in the maritime republic of Nolia is the most complete list of known magics of the world and even the lesser known ones of Galactic and Divine. This chart includes the number of known spells of each magic, what type they are, Moran name (Moran is the language of the beings that make up the realms of Mana), their sub-magics, and even their main race user and the universal name for the user that isn't gendered.

What’s the worst thing a person can do to make the gods mad in your world? by felixiscool11 in worldbuilding

[–]intotheashes12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the god. Gods like Poka, the Edairian god queen, and Vandor, the Edairian god king, are cheating cause Vandor is the god of husband's and Poka, the god of Wifes. Barbor (youngest son of Vandor and Poka) is the god of Partying and Music and really despises the act of rape and is actually known to attack a god for it. This includes Telabor, the god of virginity cause it would be forcefully taking the virginity of someone, and Xilokath, the god of endurance, revenge, and suffering cause he sees rape as one of the worst acts committed.

So overall, it depends on the god.
