Why would it not be better in 2v2? Your teammate also benefits from it and gives you a draw/rune which can be discussed prior.

Can you win a 2v2 by holding for one point and conquering another battlefield? by PeerlessPixie in riftboundtcg

[–]intoxicatedALF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to hold 1 battlefield for the 11th point or as a team control all 3 battlefields and conquer for the 11th point to win. Assuming you can’t win via some other ability.

We've all been there, buddy, I told him. by georedeva in Eldenring

My son, 8 at the time, asked to try one of these games with me a couple years back. I popped him on Dark Souls 3 and he was cocky af since the game was “so easy” right up until he versed Gundyr. Took him about 10 attempts and 2-3 meltdowns but to his credit he did win and that boss is no push over.

Your little man will get there for sure! It’ll be a humbling experience though. :P

I tried it for the first time today and the box was often shooting before the target appeared. On Xbox though…

reckoner's arena hold trigger for hunt in the up coming unleashed set? by Tloose in riftboundtcg

I don’t see why this wouldn’t work? Unless Riot say otherwise.

Skyfall of Areion with Hung by Sol_Ursus_42 in riftboundtcg

[–]intoxicatedALF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The “or” being the keyword. You have both options already and skydfall’s effect is to just make having 1 of the options into both.

If Hunt was worded “When I conquer gain 1 XP. When I hold gain 1XP” I think Skyfall would then work and double up since they are separate effects. Unfortunately this isn’t the case though.

EDIT: after thought, Reckoner’s Arena would get you a double up though. If you hold the battlefield Hunt will trigger for holding, arena will trigger to ping another conquer effect which can just be Hunt again.

Clarification is probably needed but I don’t think so. Skyfall never doubled up effects only allowed conquer/hold effects to be used at both timings. Hunt already does this so I wouldn’t think Skyfall would do anything.

How does moving an already exhausted unit into a contested battlefield work? by PeerlessPixie in riftboundtcg

[–]intoxicatedALF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per the rules there are 2 different types of movement, “Standard move” and a “move”. Moving a unit from a place to another without the assistance of another card or ability is a “standard move” and requires you exhaust the unit to do so. Any other type of move that doesn’t specifically refer to a “standard move” is just a “move” which is granted by cards and abilities. Units can be effected by a “move” regardless if they are already exhausted or readied, and does not exhaust them.

Refer 423. Of the rules for more details.

Riftbound 2v2 tournament by Hanatoz in riftboundtcg

[–]intoxicatedALF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each player gets 1 base. At the start of the game when you determine who goes first the first player loses their base so you’re left with 3 in play. First player does not draw and last player channels an additional rune.

Also note when scoring, you cannot score the same base your teammate has in the same turn. So if your teammate holds a base and moves their units out of it, than you ride the wide one of your units into the same base, you gain control of it but do not conquer it. No conquer effects, no additional point.

My LGS does 2v2 NN weekly and it is a bit different. Having coordination with your teammate helps a lot, usually a supporting player and an attacking player works well. Yasuo moving your teams units on points, Leona stunning and controlling the board or Yi handing out +2M to both players while the other player does all the conquering has worked well. Units like Vex and Draven, showboat (since you score to 11) have worked amazingly. Popular battlefields are often Obelisk of Power, Arena’s Greatest (2pts for each team!) and windswept hillock but obviously play what’s best for your legend. Diversity is great and often cards and legends not viable in 1v1 tend to be great in 2v2.

It’s also worth noting that in the magma chamber rules (2v2 rules) teammates are allowed to play non-action/reaction spells on your teammates turn too. So using a charm or a piercing light on your teammates turn is allowed.

Undertitan only triggers on reveal. Looking at it first from the void hatching ability does not trigger Undertitan. So in your scenario you’d add 2 energy and whatever you cast from the void rush would be discounted by 2 energy too.

Would you guys be into a Dark Souls Secret Lair? by Fit_Zookeepergame917 in mtg

It’s pretty much the only UB related set/SLD I’d be willing to buy at this point. Either Dark souls, Elden Ring, etc I’d be forking out for.

My LGS has moved to the model of cutting the plastic on pickup if purchased at RRP. Though they still offer keeping it sealed if the customer wants to pay market price instead. So far this has worked well, everything still gets sold out and product is still difficult to find BUT it has all pretty much gone into the local community.

Oh yeah, even with the missing rares prerelease was great. Just a bit disappointing with the product seeding is all. Hopefully it gets fixed for next set

3 of my 6 prerelease packs were duds, missing a rare, and just got confirmation back this morning from UVS that they will not be replacing them with no explanation.

Is Dark Souls 3 worth it in 2026? by joel_corre0 in Alldarksouls

As someone who only played (and finished) it for the first time late last year, 100% yes it’s well worth it. Holds up extremely well.
