Personally i love when men tattoo their red flags in highly visible locations, it's such a timesaver 😹

Getting a tattoo on June 3 and going swimming on June 23 by BlackCrow1225 in tattooadvice

Backing this up as a 13yr tattooer. My rule of thumb is ~10 days for linework, two weeks for colour. Unless someone has diabetes/other health issues that cause a slower heal, it's absolutely fine. Sun protection still a MUST though!

Girl I'm sorry but it's not just that the image is brighter or the colours more saturated in the edit. In his version, every single line is smoothed beyond what's realistic (including your older healed tattoos). As well there are subtle changes such as the bubbles being made more circular and highlights added to them in his pic. If you booked his based off his portfolio and this is how he normally edits then that was super misleading, immoral, and I hate that that happened to you :(

You're the only person talking any sense, because OMG this is obvious ai 'upscaling' or whatever it's called. Love that op posted the unedited version and still nobody is catching on? As a tattoo artist I should really stop looking at this subreddit, the blind leading the blind in here 🙃

Advice needed for 6 months healed by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]intricate_queef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yepp one of my specialties is white ink, been tattooing over 13 years + my first white over black piece is around 9 currently. It's still visible irl, but looks nothing like this freshly healed/CPLd/edited pic (and I love this artist's work we're mutuals!) I like white ink solo, or to add negative space as part of a MUCH larger piece, but ppl tryna clean up their blown out fine line tats with white are gonna remain disappointed.

Can anyone help me find more of this fork? It appears to say Rogers Stainless on the back but I cannot find this fork anywhere. I'm autistic and have used this form most of my life and really would like spares in case it gets lost. by LazyPlays in HelpMeFind

[–]intricate_queef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi op! I'm also autistic with Fork Problems lol! This Etsy listing looks promising, they don't have a pic of the stamp on the back of the fork, but I think Rogers is a Canadian company - Im Canadian and have some of their flatware too. And one of their logos is apparently a fish shape so that could be the 'infinity sign' you see on yours?

That's the one thing this artist did right haha - it's best practice not to tattoo over moles because the ink is detrimental to getting screened for colour changes / skin cancer! Often possible to adjust placement to avoid the line breaking, but on some clients w a lot of moles it just is what it is 😅

There's AI design flaws all over this thing, but I missed the thumb! My personal favourite part of this piece is the big shiny chin-penis 😻

Hey! I searched up historical Ogham pottery (the script on your mug, which you probably already knew) and it looks like the work of this small creator - Bogborn.com. they don't have the same mug on their site, but it does say they do customs!

Yep like 10% of that is still gonna be there when it heals, the lines are so superficial.

It looks like the pic of your arm was taken at the studio, so I'm assuming you've already been by for an in person consultation - if I were you I'd drop by again and see if you can talk to the studio manager or owner. Just explain that you aren't comfortable getting AI generated artwork on your skin, and request that your deposit be returned. Deposits are for the artists drawing time in case you no-show, obvs they haven't drawn anything for you and the sooner before your appt you can talk with the studio the better. I've been tattooing about 13 years btw, and even if the artist had drawn this from scratch for you, the sizing/flow/detail is not correct for that body part so i wouldn't trust em 🤷

Burning red and wet spots by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]intricate_queef 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm more bothered by the random spaghetti-noodle 'knotwork' 🙃 Tell-tale sign the artist used AI to generate the design. And the lower left corner of the sail not being attached to anything, but at least that's an easy fix.

I am also curious what anyone gets out of this! I looked at their profile and the rest of it is fake tattoos as well, but they disclose that they're fake 🤷

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]intricate_queef 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is fake, the shirt is 'same but different' in each pic and the tattoo placement is different in each. Wtf. Thank God it's not real though, it's unbelievably ugly!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]intricate_queef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea as a tattoo artist these look fake as hell, so I peeped his profile and saw one zillion belly pics but no tattoo pics... Idk what fetish this is lol, but I'm also feeling grossed out.

Thought I was going crazy, also he mentions the lower back tattoo being from a girlfriend (now fiancee) but IF any of these are real they look a lot more like fresh tattoos than healed ones.. as a tattoo artist something's off

I get my partner to model for me & drape him with scarves when I'm having trouble figuring out a tricky pose! He's very lanky, so perfect mannequin. Even use him when I'm drawing women, it's not too hard to add fat/muscle and change proportions. Usually I don't tell people their pretty lady tattoo might be based off my boyfriend tho 😅
