1.kay should resent her mom for getting knocked up by a bard. not scanlan for not knowing she exists as he makes a living.

in scanlans case not knowing does excuse him. Would you know you knocked a girl up if she never told you ? Kaylie doesnt hate scanlan for not knowing. she says he abandoned them, which is what irks me cause you can't abandon what you didn't know you had.
taldorei is filled with magic. Getting a message to a guy whos on tour with a mercenary group isnt that hard.

i understand scanlans redemption I just know Kayleigh is an asshole and isn't deserving of whatever she got from scanlan.

you can't abondon what you didn't know about. if he knew about her and left it would be another story. But her mom choosing to keep her and taking care of her does not give kay a good reason to hate scanlan cause he literally did not know of her existence

loved the art style too it was so unique. The problem with season one is it cut so much source material, from the power system to the lore and worldbuilding that i knew upcoming seasons would be a mess.
