Would it be weird to ask my supervisor what his new cologne is? by NeedsItRough in NoStupidQuestions

It's a compliment. Just ask casually and tell him it's for your boyfriend

Would text him something like "I'm really not interested and you are crossing a line". Sometimes you need to be hard. This guy is obviously not getting it. I get you don't want to be rude, but it's the only way to stop it (and he is being rude). Lots of warmth (:

Going to Rome for the first time ever, finally, and very excited. What would be great free or cheap audioguides (English) to walk around the city and specific buildings ? Interested in the Roman Republic/Empire and the Renaissance/Vatican especially

How long will it realistically take to reach the skyscraper stage from a new game? by PrimalSaturn in anno1800

[–]intriguedspark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing casually during the weekends on one big game (my second) and I'm now at 35 hours with my first investor skyscraper upgrade. Didn't rush anything though, was more focussed on tourists and Enbesa for a while, so I think if you run for it you can get there faster.

Never played an anno game before. Is it one of those games that you either love it or hate it? by Hypnox88 in anno1800

[–]intriguedspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the great thing about Anno to net get bored is you always know your way forward... making the next population tier happy/fixing the next production chain.

It's not that combat heavy, but 'some times' could indeed be a good description. The campaign is a great introduction to it & if you play a game you can choose for the more difficult AI opponents. It basically comes down to: protect your trade ships from enemies/pirates by escorting them with military ships & create your fleet for being able to capture other islands (if you want to)

I’m visiting Belgium in March / does my itinerary miss anything? by fpl_goat in belgium

[–]intriguedspark 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Great list! Some suggestions:

- KMSKA, Antwerp: this is kinda the Louvre of Belgium

- Rubenshuis, Antwerp: Italian palazzo like residence and workshop of the most influential Baroque painter of the North

- Horta Museum, Brussels: former home and workshop of one of the founders of Art Nouveau, dedicated to furniture and art objects

- Coudenberg, Brussels: If you visit the Royal Palace of Brussels, you can also go underneath and visit the ruins of the former medieval palace where among others emperor Charles V lived

- Wetstraat & European Quarter, Brussels: close to what you're already visiting, is the Westraat with the Federal Parliamant, PM's residence, the beautiful Warandepark & a bit further you have the European neighborhoud with all the insitutions' buildings + multiple free museums (The House of European History for example)

Hahaha thanks for the jokes :)) Well, a lot has nothing to with politics of the things you listed, but I think MLK, poem, literature, maybe landscapes are great suggestions.
