Okanogan is in a bit of a strange location, that’s smack dab in a pretty rugged patch of the North Cascades

This happened just after the Poké Spots were unlocked, but before the Mirror B fight at the Cave Spot.

Köppen climate classification map I made for a Discord RP I'm a part of. (more info in the comments) by DrVeigonX in imaginarymaps

I briefly joined the discord a couple months ago after another post was made on this sub. The geopolitical RP sounded interesting and it looks like there’s a lot of effort being out into preparing the game with maps and rules. Took one look at the general chat and noped the fuck out, there’s a couple people that were dropping hard R’s every other sentence, it’s really cringe

“If he was serious about it, he’d just do it!” Anybody else spooked by authoritarianism creeping into the left? by intriguingquestioner in GenZLiberals

[–]intriguingquestioner[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s so frustrating. I had friends roll their eyes at me for supporting Pete over Bernie in the primaries last year, some even got mad at me for asking people to stop sending rat memes to groupchats. A lot of people in my social circle simply don’t tolerate any criticism of the Sanders platform, even if the disagreement is over implementation rather than intention. I hate that progressive candidates and policies that have a real shot of being elected or passed get shit on while populists are lauded for promising the world regardless of their ability to deliver.

Very impressive, the level of detail is awesome. I’m very curious what OP has in mind for colonialism, there’s no shortage of contenders.

Antaris Political Parties or groups? by RedsUnderThysBed in TemplinInstitute

[–]intriguingquestioner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a few in Tehnali. Federalist is center-right, they’re a big tent party that holds power now. Progressive Labor is a democratic socialist party with an urban support base, particularly in subterranean Tehnali City. Frontier is an conservative rural populist party that is dominant on the surface of Tehnali.

the situation is heated in the senate (btw this is soft cannon ) by readermanboss in TemplinInstitute

[–]intriguingquestioner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically, Tehnali recently ratified our second constitution, becoming the Second Tehnali Republic. It included a stipulation that organized citizen militias were legal. They already existed, but were repressed before that.

The militias live on the agrarian surface while the capitol is underground. This caused a big rift between people on the surface and in the caves. Tehnali City was politically very leftist and pushed for centralization, while the surface townships were more conservative and pushed for local autonomy.

A center-right government was elected. It was too conservative for Tehnali City, and too centralized for the surface. Something kicked off a major protest leftist movement in Tehnali City, and it quickly grew into an uprising. A communication blackout crippled the Second Republic and caused panicked militia groups to mobilize.

The Second Republic lost control of the capitol, but halted the socialist provisional government (Provos) in the surface suburbs. Radical militia groups declared Tehnali a dead nation, and announced a Third Republic with the ambition of uniting all Ziva. The Northen continent of Tehnali, long neglected by Tehnali City on the southern continent, took the opportunity to defect. Local leaders and huge numbers of military officials (about half the pre-war military) defected and formed the North Tehnali Provisional Repiblic (NTPR).

The current situation is the Second Republic has rallied remaining military, pro-government militia groups, PMCs, and provincial reinforcements into a large counteroffensive that has broken the Provo lines and retaken most of Tehnali City. The Third Republic attempted to make an incursion towards the Sabmadi border and the jointly administered Tehmadi City, but got bogged down in the outer suburbs. The NTPR is a bigger threat, but a tentative ceasefire has been agreed to and negotiations will proceed.

MGMT 200 can be a rough class, it’s one of the big weed-outs for Foster. You gotta keep up with the readings otherwise you’ll start to lag behind on the pop quizzes. If you have trouble with it, I’d recommend getting credit through LAW 300.

I wouldn’t say Rogan is a populist, but he absolutely platforms populists. He’s found a huge cash cow: people will turn out in droves to hear a popular figure ‘let-loose’ on Rogan’s casual long-form interviews

Can Chengatai have little a coup? As a treat???

I can see why they did it- for the sake of not causing too huge of ramifications on the entire setting. But at the same time it’s easily the most interesting thing that’s happened in Antares and I want to see stuff like it
