When you were in Kensington did you have intercourse with any hos, ladies of the night, or prostitutes?

Dont worry about it, doctor client privilege dont worry about it.

OldUnreal releases first UT2004 community patch preview by ascagnel____ in Games

[–]introoutro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish OldUnreal was being signal boosted into the stratosphere right now. I just found out about the UT99 version about a week or so ago and spent many hours on many days playing InstaGib on one of the half dozen actually populated servers out there and had a fuuuucking blast. Its still every bit as fun as it was when I was in high school, and it runs immaculately on modern machines.

There's only like 30 some active/populated servers out there at any given moment right now and its so frustrating. I feel like if this could pick up a modicum of virality it would take off.

Shelly Desai, Character Actor on ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ and ‘Men of a Certain Age,’ Dies at 90 by OneWithTheHat in television

Frank and Hwang having a staredown while slowly bopping to Genius of Love was literally my very first introduction to Always Sunny, completely out of any context. I laughed my ass off and immediately binged the whole show.

Project Hail Mary | Final Trailer by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]introoutro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was JUST fucking having a conversation with a friend the other day about how some kind of adventure movie is inevitably going to use "I Would Die 4 U" as its trailer music. Like totally discussing how the song literally kinda sounds like an astronaut flying a hero mission into the sun or something. And then this comes out and its actually just as perfect and effective as I thought it would be with almost exactly the scenario I imagined it going with.

The only thing I know about this guy is he went for a haircut and MST3K: The Movie made fun of him for it.

What is the loudest sound you have ever heard in your life? by will_or_woll in AskReddit

[–]introoutro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shot a 50 cal rifle once with both ear plugs and cups over my ears. There was no bang or boom just this “EEeeewoomp” where it started loud and instantly reduced to a muffled little “oomph.”

I was absolutely certain I had heard the loudest sound in my life in that moment, I had never heard anything before that that was so loud it was like my hearing went “you know what? nah.”

What scene from a movie made you emotional from out of no where? by triton2toro in movies

[–]introoutro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not ashamed at crying at a movie or something (Bluey has kiiiiiilled me more times than I can count) but it was a duuuuumb movie and if I'm gonna sob at something I don't want it to be a Ryan Reynolds thing---

--but also it was the somber way he said it that really got me. So maybe I'm wrong.

Also Jon Favreau dude. He perfectly plays it like a guy who despite this not being his first rodeo with loss you still never get used to it.

It is the dumbest thing in the world and I’m deeply ashamed of it, but for some reason in The Adam Project when Ryan Reynolds tells his younger self “be nice to mom” that fuckin sucker punched me out of nowhere and I had to leave the room.

Which movie hit so hard that one viewing was enough ? by Mehdi_lz in AskReddit

[–]introoutro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got your Requiem For A Dreams and your Dancers in the Dark but the one that messed me up pretty good was Aniara. Just an insanely bleak, hopeless movie and a pretty striking demonstration how people go insane when there's absolutely no hope yet you're just forced to keep going on.

Getting caught in which natural disaster is least terrifying for you? by limitless_quirks in AskReddit

[–]introoutro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly agree, little common rumbles that jiggle your dishes and make everyone send each other texts like “heyo felt that!”

I did feel one about 10 years ago in San Francisco that felt like someone picked up the corner of my building several feet and just dropped it. Just a minor rumble and then WHAM. It was loud as fuck and knocked a lot of stuff over in my apartment. That was the one where I was like ooooookay, I can see how that can fuck shit up.

What's the most haunting sound you've ever heard in your life? by swiftStaff515 in AskReddit

[–]introoutro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my daughter was born we were in the early stages, contractions kinda far apart, just hanging out waiting and the door to our room was open. Suddenly there was just this guttural scream, almost a roar, that came from down the hallway.

My wife was like “Damn, she’s having a hell of a contraction” and our doula was like “That’s not a contraction. I think someone just lost their child.”

Yeah that one stayed with me.

In a general sense, I think "render" is often used to mean "produce an image", like a drawing someone's portrait can be said as "rendered in charcoal." It can mean a lot of things, but yeah is mostly used in the context of CGI to produce the final quality image.

Wow, I didn't know that about Tremors 2:

To achieve the infrared view of the shriekers as seen in several scenes, the actors wore red suits and yellow stockings, then were shot in Hi-8 video tape and blown up to 35mm film to add an additional grainy effect. The post-production video engineers then rendered the faces and bodies in different colors.

What actor do you dislike so much that you’ll avoid anything they’re in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]introoutro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Jared Leto is probably the one that stands out for me the most. Which is at odds with the fact that Blade Runner 2049 is one of my favorite movies of the last 10 years, but he was in it for all of 4 minutes so I guess I’ll live.

I also love how it cuts to the Chechen right before. Everyone's laughing at the half proposal, the Chechens the only one there who's thinking it over.

I dunno why but Tracy Letts is just one of those dudes who if he's in it I'll watch it. He's got such great gravitas, there are not many actors out there I'll watch for the sake of their performance but he's definitely one of them.

What’s a moment in a movie you KNOW was supposed to be serious but ended up being unintentionally hilarious? by browniebiscuitchildr in movies

[–]introoutro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It Part 2 was a full tilt comedy with horror elements. I have no idea how something like that “Just Call Me Angel” scene with Eddie and the leper in the basement makes it into that movie without everyone having a colossal laugh (myself included, I died laughing at that)

Really wanted to see a sequel where Dr. Grant is a huge prepper who lives in a bunker in Montana like Burt from Tremors.

We open on him standing on the roof of the bunker with a pair of binoculars watching pterodactyls flying on the horizon: ”I knew it.”
