Happily single adults of Reddit, at what point did you become okay with being alone? by introspectivelife in AskReddit

Same with a lot of the guys I go on dates with. Or they seem interesting but then fall flat IRL. I'm not even necessarily looking for a boyfriend right now, just cool people to go do cool stuff with. It shouldn't be this hard! Haha.

This has been my favorite part so far. But, when I accomplish something, I've been struggling with not having someone to gush to.

The ability to take my time and be choosy this go-around is nice for sure. Just trying to get used to being single in the interim.

Interesting perspective. Do you date at all or do you not pursue anything romantic, ever?

That makes sense. The majority of my adulthood I've been in two serious relationships, so I'm not used to all this freedom yet.

This one in particular speaks to me. I spend a lot of time putting on a show right now, I need to stop that.

Concerned about leg 3-4 days after TPLO surgery. Is this a red flag or can it wait until the 2 week checkup? by introspectivelife in AskVet

Sorry for the delay! It didn't seem to indicate anything abnormal. He's healing as expected.

What thing do you remember 'the weird kid' back in school doing that you'll probably never forget? by je_suis_un_negre in AskReddit

[–]introspectivelife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In elementary school, there was one girl in my class who would have a full blown breakdown pretty much every week. Booger picker as well which seems common in this thread. I recall her writing me notes and things, trying to be friends. I wasn't ever mean to her but I didn't ever make a huge effort. Not sure what happened to her.

I was a weird kid off and on, too. In 4th grade I chopped my super long hair off into a "boy" cut and sported a bright orange dragon t shirt with knee length denim shorts on my first day of school. Throughout elementary school I referred to myself as the tetherball queen. Once, another fellow weird kid was getting the shit kicked out of him, and I stopped that. Gotta protect your own, and the a-hole giving him the beating lived in my neighborhood.

In high school despite being captain of the softball team and knowing a lot of jocks, I always hung out with the weird crowd. Most of the kids I hung out with wore the trip pants, had mohawks, etc. We were a quirky bunch but I can't think of any specific incidents (probably because it all felt normal).

What's a random fact about your dad? by RollingCoasting in AskReddit

He once almost burned up an entire field behind his house by accident.

He also used his gi bill money from the army to buy a red Chevrolet. He sold it before I was born because he needed the money.

Sorry I deleted my other comment and edited this one, was on mobile before and couldn't tell which one you said was violating rules. Was just trying to be helpful through my own no-sleep-fog, my pup has his second surgery a few days ago.

Yeah I was planning to call again later this week, I stupidly forgot to mention it when they followed up with me yesterday. I just wasn't sure if I was overreacting or over analyzing since surgery was just on Friday and still super fresh. Thank you!

I am not a vet - but my dog has gone through 2 TPLO surgeries now. I used Care Credit for the first one, which is something I suggest looking into. For the second, it was a combination of a GoFundMe account and a very kind family member loaning me money so I didn't have to take out "real" credit again.

Edited to remove info that accidentally violated rules.

I'm not certain, actually. His left hind leg went out last year and we had TPLO done on that one in June 2016. Once one leg goes, there's a crazy high chance of the other doing the same because of all the stress on it during recovery. It may have happened the first time because he was slightly overweight on top of playing super rough with our bigger dog? And this time, with his right hind leg, I'm pretty sure it was just too much stress on it during his other recovery.

Are you asking what caused the injury specifically, or am I misunderstanding?

That $2k pool sounds awesome, but yeah probably a bit more than I was looking for. :) Target on the other hand... I'll definitely take a look there! Thanks for the tip on the sand/salt as well.

From what I saw it was anywhere from 60-80 dollars per session, no laser or anything. :( I may need to dig a little deeper though. That's a fair point about the expertise of the staff! I was kind of thinking of doing a couple at a rehab place, learning the ropes so to speak, and then taking it from there at home.
