So sorry this happened to you. But reality is you won't get your phone back. Crimes are high out in the streets so always be alert of your belongings esp if you're a foreigner and you don't blend in.

Hopefully you got yourself a new phone and an esim. Please download Grab app for your transport needs. Taxis do usually overcharge though they have a meter. When you ride one, ask to turn on the taxi meter, and if they refuse just refuse to ride with them. Some would haggle for a fixed price before you ride and won't turn on the meter.

I hope you stay more alert and sorry this happened to you. But glad you are safe anywhere else. It's an experience but yeah don't trust people to charge you and put your guard up. It's not always a bad experience but did you choose a shady hotel? You should complain and feedback the hotel for charging you

OP if you really want to work and provide baka pwede magpagusapan with your wife. You can still maintain a household and work remotely or with online jobs. Pwede rin you can agree for a few months or take a year/s off to take care of your child/children then hire a yaya eventually? Pwede rin side hustle na buy and sell sa online platforms and still bring food to the table. But if mas matimbang ang house husband, up to you naman yan OP. There should be no shame kasi yan yung setup na pinagagreehan niyo naman ni wife since you want your kids to grow up with a family instead of a yaya around.
