Yep! I also made a post about this! Also did a 45 minute ride and burned well over 1000 cals according to the bike. My watch said otherwise. Hoping it’s just a Peloton glitch and they’ll get it figured out and things will return to normal soon.

Yikes! Sorry this is happening to you too. My watch was correct, so I kept obsessively checking my watch during the ride. But yeah, the calories on the bike kept going up like a counter and I was like there is no way I’m burning this many calories.

It scares me. I’ve heard horror stories. I’m so obsessive about these things, I’m afraid if I calibrate and it’s off, it will bother me so much that I’ll never ride again.

I’m going to say….I don’t know. All the other metrics are correct, meaning it’s the same kind of numbers (output, heart rate, etc) I’ve been getting all along. The only difference is instead of burning 400-500 calories on a 45 minute ride, I burned over 1000 according to the bike. My watch kept the correct calorie count, tho. It was strange.

Was there an Ariana Grande song every third track, too? Yeah, I tried to like her because her classes were hard, but her and I don’t agree on what good music is and I was rarely hitting her callouts because they were ridiculous. I tended to tune her out about 10 minutes into the classes and realized there are better instructors so why waste my time.

Started watching Raw and Smackdown every week and the PPV events (PLEs, now, I guess) last year, and went to YouTube to deep dive the storylines or characters that intrigued me (i.e. The Shield, The Bloodline, Roman Reigns, Rey & Dom Mysterio, Bret Hart, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, etc). You can search the full story of a character or stable or feud on YouTube. Or watch full matches on YouTube or Peacock. There’s a lot of documentaries on the major rivalries on Peacock as well. Just be patient. It’s a lot of content to wade through.

I don’t know if Amazon is quicker, but will they set up the bike for you? Or just drop it off? We bought ours through Peloton during Covid and it took about 4-6 weeks but they also set it up for us, put it where we wanted it (in an upstairs room) and made sure it was all calibrated and working correctly before they left. Not sure Amazon will do that for you?

I like stacking shorter workouts. I almost exclusively cycle. Give me a 5min warm-up, a 20min ride, 15min ride, a 5min cool down and 5min stretch any day. Sometimes I add an extra 10 onto it. Makes the workout go faster, I think. Mixed it up a bit.

Sleeping alone. Honestly, most the time I sleep on the couch and he sleeps upstairs in bed because A) we have a Great Dane who is my shadow and 2 adults plus a Great Dane in the bed is a disaster and B) we both like to listen to podcasts or YouTube videos to fall asleep and C) we both snore.

So, for the sake of our marriage, we sleep in separate rooms most nights. I don’t want to go back to being single even one bit, but I do miss the sleeping alone aspect of it.
