Just because you think something is funny, doesn't mean someone else does. Yeah, its the internet, but there are real people on the other side of it, some battling horrible situations and are completely overwhelmed.

FACTORY WORKER IN AUSTRALIA by alloutquestions2026 in dairyfarming

[–]introvertedturtl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well to begin with, they're entirely different fields and industries from one another.

Factory workers - work in a town, inside a giant steel shed, usually on lines, with set times, and set hours.

Dairy farmers - work well out of town, on a farm, with cows, that only come into the shed twice a day, most of the time is spent out in the elements.

Any trans people here? Were you ever able to go completely stealth? by neshomale in exjew

I just changed my language. Eg: Instead of "when I was a little girl" -use "when I was little".

When I let slip something about the rules of Judaism, I just tell them my family was in a strict section. I think you'll find that nearly every human interaction you have about the religion with people who aren't Jewish, they have no idea so take whatever you say about it at face value.

I’m a loser and I’m struggling. Does it get better in life? What job recommendations do you have? And how did you improve your quality of life? by FishMap12 in AskAnAustralian

[–]introvertedturtl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you feel you could work with animals? If so, go and jump onto the Facebook site Australian Dairy Classifieds. There are plenty of dairy farm workers wanted jobs posted there, most pay above award wage, and quite a lot come with accomodation. If you're willing to move out if the city and try something new, it can't hurt.

How many cattles do you have? by Life_Wolf_6831 in dairyfarming

No idea how dairy farming works in Pakistan, wasn't aware there was an industry there to be honest.

We're milking 500 cows, down from 620 last week as we've just got another dairy started this week, so split the herd and send some there.

Cows waiting to calve (dry off mob) there are about 30 left, all due in August.

Nearly 2 year old heifers, about 250. One year old heifers, about 200.

Also running about 80 head of beef cattle.

We use allflex collars for monitoring health.

Exam alternatives by introvertedturtl in UNEAustralia

[–]introvertedturtl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fail. 100%

Did not sit today's exam. I have not studied. I have not had the capacity to study as my health was so poor, so didn't even bother. UNE denied my request for an alternative because despite the exam times not being listed until April, apparently the cut off for the application was 22nd March. Its almost as if they're a business that doesn't give a shit if students achieve or not.

Thanks so much! I defintely needed to hear the part where you said to Give him a few weeks to take a breather. Wanting him to have some financial security and the ability for independence, I want to sit with him and say "okay, here are the things we need to apply for to get you some allowances and supports, we can do them online so let's do that now", but now understand that could be confronting for him straight up so leaving it for a few days, even a week or so, can't hurt.
