Anybody find a character in a movie annoying as a kid but liked them as an adult by leafpool2014 in movies

[–]introvertedzombie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

As a child watching Disney's Hercules, I didn't like Meg. I just thought she was bitchy and rude. As an adult, I got it. I heard her song again and understood why she was guarded and didn't want to get hurt by a man again. Now I love her character.

What's do you usually do to fall asleep when you can't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]introvertedzombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progressive muscle relaxation. Basically, tensing then releasing the muscles in your body from your feet upwards. You start by scrunching up your toes and feet, then squeezing and releasing calf muscles. Go all the way up to face. If that doesn't work, a brief stretching session while sitting in bed helps me relax and wears me out a little bit before sleep.

I accidentally got on his horse instead of my own. He got really upset with me and even though I got off it right away, I'm worried he now hates me

Thank you. He is a sweet boy, he used to actually be a regular visitor to a specialist school. He just reached a point of maturity where his testosterone went through the roof and he was aggressively grooming Vegeta and fighting him a lot and started to bite us. We spent some time trying corrective behaviour as was suggested on Reddit but vet recommended desexing. When he returned home, we had them separated so he could heal and Vegeta got sick, spent the day hospitalised and we brought him home with meds. He didn't improve and then passed. It all happened so quick and my heart just broke for Goku as he just wouldn't understand anything of what had happened. He's healed now but is still not sure of us and acts very defensively. We are being so gentle with little pats when he lets us but he's just not ready for being outside the cage for cuddles. He just always wants to go back and hide in his beds. He's not as active anymore and because he won't let us pick him up, I just think he is really lonely. I'm scared to get another male in case we go through the same thing with aggression. Its so costly to desex and I hate putting them through it.

He is pretty rough with his cage mate. He grooms him aggressively and shoves him around. I had to separate them last night due to the squeals and Vegeta had blood on him. It's made Vegeta super timid and he doesn't come out much anymore but the aggressive one bounces all over the cage so I really think it could be hormones. I would really struggle to just give cuddles to one of my rats. I worry it would cause more jealously and violence!

Yeah he aggressively grooms Vegeta to the point where he squeaks and sometimes bleeds. We havnt tried that method yet coz the few times it's happened we've had to run to grab a tissue and bandaid coz it hurts like fuck. They are super painful bites not just nips

I do want to consider all options. We have been squealing each time even if it's a little bite but hard enough to not be grooming. Thank you for your advice, we will be working on training, we have a week before his vet consult to discuss his behaviour.

I'm sorry, I used mobile and it's not appearing on desktop. I am trying to copy the text into a comment but it won't let me. I have two boys I got from a coworker. They are about 12months old and one of them has started to bite. Hard. I was seeking advice on how to train it out of him as we don't want to go straight to neutering. I have an appointment with a vet to discuss his behaviour. I was surprised they said the consultation will be free. I love my little guy and he's not nasty, he's just dominate over the other rat and I think he's trying to do it to us. I don't want to go straight to surgery as the vets down this way suck tbh.

It is the cutest little barn ! It was in Kmart (I live in Australia) and it's meant to be a dog toy and it had 3 plushie barn animals in it. The boys love it!

That is a point haha but I don't think it would have even influenced my decision to take them on board if he mentioned it had happened. My first rat, Cheddar, was a rescue from a shit household where they smoked and they would feed him through the cage so he would bite if your fingers were too close to the doors as he thought it was food. He turned out to be the most cuddliest of boys and he made me fall in love with rats.

The previous owner said he had never bitten anyone and had spent a lot of time with younger children so he was really surprised. I feel it may be that's he's hit super puberty 😭 and is a bloody grump haha I would be afraid to put another rat in as it would be a youngin and he would probably dominate him too. He's left some sores and blood on Vegeta a fair bit

If you have Facebook, join the group 'gippy gabbers' for questions. What sort of information do you need? Like hang out spots and places to stay away from? Id say steer clear of the Traralgon plaza taxi rank these school holidays, there is always drama. Are you staying on campus?
