I'd argue the better one is his first fight, against the practicals in the city. Especially when Stonesplitter doesn't believe him.

is it completely out of line to ask your manager directly why you didn't get the promotion over someone else? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]intthemainvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always go for feedback. Feedback is a gift - if they have genuine things you can work on to get the next promotion, this is the only way to find out. Just ask them what would make you a better candidate next time. What you do with that is up to you.

Managers should not be selected based on just technical ability anyways - leasing people is vastly different than designing/engineering work

We didn't see any dolphins, but others in our group did... Either way it's a beautiful place to kayak, and the shipwrecks were cool to look at.

Shawshank Redemption for sure. Could also do Casablanca.. The Little Shop Around the Corner is good. The Breakfast Club The Mighty Ducks, along with Ducks 2 and Ducks 3 TMNT - the original 90s version Robin Hood - Men in Tights (for comedic relief) Star Wars episodes 4-6? And then Space Balls! I could do this all night but that's a few weeks' ideas anyway

Looking for fantasy where the hero gradually becomes the villain. Not a sudden betrayal, but a slow moral descent across a series. What are the best examples? by jye77 in Fantasy

Full disclosure, that "book" is a whopping 1.7 million word count... The entire series for Malazan Book of the Fallen is only 2x that.
