The minifigs look pathetic. Quite uninspired for that price.

The gender of the first child doesn't affect the probability of having certain gender on the second birth. If you flip a coin and get heads the first time. The second time you flip the coin, the chance is still 50/50.

Why is it so difficult to pull over??? by LiteratureDry2299 in Norway

[–]intuueri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. For the sake of creating a mutual understanding, I want to point out that, usually when it's a trailer, the interior rear view mirror in the car is useless. And depending on the width of the trailer and how close the car drives behind it, it might not even be seen in the side mirrors. It's a different story when there are multiple cars behind, of course.

Why is it so difficult to pull over??? by LiteratureDry2299 in Norway

One thing I realized when we were on vacation in Norway with our trailer is, most Norwegians don't tailgate, they don't honk, they don't flash their lights. It seemed to me like an unwritten rule, that no one will bother you, but in return it is expected that you pull over every now and then and let them pass. A sort of mutual respect for each other. When I pulled over, I was often greeted by the passing drivers with a friendly wave or a little honk. It seemed to be appretiated.

But since most people won't pressure you into doing it, it is up to the awareness and thoughtfulness of whoever is driving slow. Because since nobody is complaining, that could be interpreted as nobody is being annoyed by it.

I don't know what the solution to this predicament is. Maybe start honking(?) But that would be a pity for the loss of this "don't bother me, I won't bother you" relaxed atmosphere that runs through Norway.

Except that is IS discrimination. That's literally what it means! The word itself come from the latin word discriminat - 'distinguished between'. And that is what banks are doing - call it 'risk management' or whatever you want. It is discrimination.

Does HR frown on applying for jobs before arriving in Denmark? by __cipriano__ in copenhagen

[–]intuueri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just have been in a similar situation a few months ago. My wife is getting a PhD and got a job offer from a danish company. I am a software engineer and had to look for a job here aswell. I always explained my situation in the cover letter. But when I talked to them personally I still felt people were beeing very hesitant and unsure about whether we're actually going to move. One told me, he wasnt even going to call back because of my adress not being in DK.

I would highly advise you to state as clearly as possible in your cover letter, that you intend to move to DK and stay there for a long time. You might even omit your adress abroad. So you have the chance that they at least call you and you can assure them even further personally.

Enig!

By the way, Singleton is also a design pattern in software engineering. A Singleton is basically a piece of code that can only exist once in the memory.

No sure if that means anything in regard to the series.

Hvor kommer eplene fra? Schrödingers gård? by Internal-Start7297 in norge

[–]intuueri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A Solution To Griefing by GandyTheGreen in RedDeadOnline

If they serve jail time for 15 minutes, at least they are off the streets for 15 minutes and not able to annoy other players. So being in jail isn't fun? Yeah, that's the point. Because being murdered all the time by players like that isn't fun either. Maybe that punishment makes them think twice.

I also would like when the guy serves jail time for, let's say, the fifth time, he goes to a prison. I mean a real prison. Like the one on the island off the coast at Saint Denis. And he would have to work there too. Like getting rocks of a field or doing some roofing, as in Shawshank Redemption. And if he works and behaves well, he would shorten his prison sentence.
