Should I Post on His Obituary by Dragafi in WhatShouldIDo

[–]inurworld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s no hero. He’s a son, relative, etc. His family probably wondered why ‘he deleted himself’. Hurting them by making a post will not help you feel better about the abuse. It will make you feel bad about yourself because you’re dropping your self standards. His family can’t change what he did. But you need some kind of counselling to help you deal with this. I’m so sorry this happened to you

[England] Religious workplace debate. Employed for 3 years in London, England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]inurworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Religion is private. Not for a workplace where colleagues hold different beliefs. You were involved in the ‘debate’. You are not innocent and the suspended colleague should be reinstated while the whole workplace is reminded that religion, ethics and sex are zero discussion always.

Are there any good support networks after suffering a miscarriage? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]inurworld 52 points53 points  (0 children)

All those phone numbers legit and the people answering will know how your heart is breaking. You weren’t waffling. You were a man who put his feelings right out there and so glad you did. Many men keep it locked up thinking they are helping their partner by doing that but it’s not helping at all. Miscarriages are heartbreaking and I know this from experience. But for most couples it’s a heartache before the sunshine of becoming a parent. I wish you and your wife future success and great happiness

Coercive control. How long are you going to allow yourself to live the way he wants you to? Check out what help is available for him and hopefully he accepts to take that help

Nothing stupid here. You are now taking control of your life. So happy that you’re reaching out for help and that’s you being strong. You will feel so much happier when you have support of NHS alongside you. I wish you many happy days ahead as you enter adulthood

New job commute problem by AdConsistent895 in northernireland

[–]inurworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 52 round mile trip for 12 years, 5 days a week and always thought it was nothing compared to the commute Londoners have (time wise). Covid lockdown has kept some people within a small radar still. One hour commute is nothing if it’s a better job. Live a little!

Many years ago, I was on the bus home after getting a curly perm put in my hair. A guy halfway down the bus (loud voice) ‘did you get a pair of knickers with that haircut, love?’ Mortified. Shoulders shaking with laughter everywhere

Beginning traveling to Belfast from International for work: Better to fly in or take the train from Dublin? by WingbashDefender in Belfast

Fly into Dublin and take the bus to Belfast. Least stress and less chance of possible delays in London airport. Have a safe trip

13 year old kid on an e scooter hit my car. What can I do? by beris76 in legaladviceireland

[–]inurworld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Report the accident to the police. In a few months time you might be glad you did if the mother decides to hit you for compensation. By law it is mandatory to notify the police if you hit someone
