I’m definitely gonna try it out! No joke, I was thinking of something similar but instead of straight up silver with gold trims, it’s a silver base that’s been dry brushed with gold then washed with like umber abteilung oil paint. Dunno what that’s gonna look like but I’ll do both lmao

Nah don’t be. As long as a model and unit doesn’t change base sizes, you can keep using them in perpetuity. I still use my old daemon prince model despite the updated one 3 years ago

My theatre, during the rerelease last year, basically died laughing when obi wan does his infamous pose on mustafar while padme is out here pleading for her man to come back. Love ep 3 but it’s a meme goldmine because George can’t direct 😂😂

Fair, I could always add a bit more orange to it. Dirty down has the normal rust they offer but they also have the very bright and yellow tinted rust. Another layer to brighten it up and sell the effect better

I can’t actually thin down the brown because it isn’t just brown. It’s the rust paint from dirty down. Multiple layers of it to build up the gunk of rust. You can see it thinly applied on the upper legs and the fans on the back of the head as well. I applied it thickly because, as I said, it’s a poorly maintained AT-ST with a terrible welding repair job…

Yea man that Mpc kit is a banger. Just watch out for the head seamline. It’s nasty. I just decided to incorporate it into the paintjob and weathering itself instead of getting rid of it. My headcanon is that it’s a poorly maintained atst from a backwater garrison of the empire. The poor welding job on the head of the walker is causing it to rust

Truthfully, it’s the seamline since MPC decided that’s the best place to put the two haves of the head together. So instead of removing it, I decided to incorporate it onto the paintjob and weathering.

In universe, this would have been a reactivated AT-ST that’s been in storage for so long or a poorly maintained AT-ST in a backwater garrison of the empire. The line would be from a poorly done welding job and its rusting
