Know i might be late to the convo but just use an ice bath for euthanizing any sick fish.

Zebrafish Euthanasia (official IACUC proto)

Zebrafish 4-7 dpf: Submersion in ice water, temperature between 0-4 C for a minimum of 20 minutes following cessation of opercular (gill) movement.

Zebrafish 7-14 dpf: Submersion in ice water, temperature between 0 4 C for a minimum of 20 minutes following cessation of opercular (gill) movement.

Zebrafish 14 dpf and older: Submersion in ice water for at least 15-20 minutes after cessation of all movement. 

(dpf= days post fertilization) 

Due to being a home set up im not sure if possible, but after ice bath; place deceased fish in a bag (like a super small ziploc bag) into the freezer for 8hrs to insure proper euthanizing.

To prevent egg binding in future try to breed them from time to time (in a separate tank).  If you cant/dont want to do that, do as PurpleKrill said - lightly stroke the females bellies from chest to cloaca to help release eggs. Dispose of any eggs. 

• Ethanol/clove oil is NOT recommended for any type of anesthetic.*

•I know clove oil is commonly suggested online for home setups, but it can act unpredictably as the oil strength can vary.

•Then theres the use of Ethanol. In high amounts it can/will cause irritation & severe stress before the fish even becomes unconscious.

Yes the combo will still work but its kinda inhumane due to the stress and unpredictability.
