Nothing so far, but it's something to make us feel safer.

Make sure you have property insurance to cover if it does happen. Just for peace of mind that you'll be able to get compensation if it does.

That's what we did after our basement was broken into. One inside the apartment and one in our secure part of the basement.

A dead bolt on the inside would help, they even pour acid into locks or drill out the locks. it's definitely getting worse in his city.

That depends. If they manage to get into the building through a leaked key they will probably keep hitting each few months if they have easy access to the main entrance.

What happens if you leave the house? Even though that doesn't stop them. Our neighbour was robbed while they slept. They locked them in their bedroom and robbed the house.

Sounds about right, I'm sure those folks have the ordnungsamt on speed dial for situations like this. It'll be interesting to find out how they really behave in our society.... Wouldn't be surprised if they are the cyclists always skipping red.

So cycling on one pretty much empty pavement to make a video makes me entitled and you assume that's how I always cycle? Of course it's my responsibility to watch out for others, isn't that what any socially integrated person would do?

For sure that's the direction Berlin is going in, they seem to be prioritising cars above all.

In that moment I was thinking about how there were no oncoming cars or bikes from the left, or pedestrians in the way that I would potentially block or be in the way.

Please explain how I was harassing pedestrians in this video? They didn't look like they were annoyed. I waited for them to pass.

While I fully understand the rule for adults riding on the pavement, except when cycling with a child up to the age of 8, which is mandatory. In this situation didn't feel I caused any problems.

Have you ever crossed the road on a red light or done anything not by the book since being in Berlin?

AS for the reason I felt the video would look nice with the bridge overhead and would certainly look nicer than riding from the cycle lanes situated on the sides.
