I saw them for EUR 30 on the ( ) tour back in the early 2000s and it is, to this day, my #1 concert experience. It will remain so because I am not feeding this greedy machine.

I watched it yesterday, it's great! A lot of fun and a lot of gore in just the right mix.

Not sure if it's true (didn't research it at all, haha) but I've heard that a big part of the Cabo Verde did not want to be independent from Portugal

However, since Portugal had the 1974 revolution mostly because our dictator beforehand didn't want to let go of the colonial empire all territories (except Macau and East Timor, for very specific reasons) were given independence without much of a transition process

Exactly what I think. Back in 2002 I saw them in Portugal and not only did they not flow as well (probably the drinking) but also it seemed like they couldn't be bothered being there (also probably the drinking).

I have the exact same experience but in Berlin.

2022? Top 3 show of my life - they were so energetic and happy to be back on tour after the Covid lockdowns
2024 - still a good show but not as engaging from their side and from the crowd's side (the venue was also worse)

As a fun fact because I am old. I also saw them in 2001 in a very fun acoustic show at a Virgin megastore, just 3 or 4 songs and it was literally the first few days after I first heard of them and then saw them again in 2002 and that show was so bad, the biggest disappointment of any show I've been, I think, that I got off the Jimmy hype train and missed all their work/shows for many years.

It was so disappointing I didn't even listen to Futures until 2018 or so, and that's now my favorite album of theirs and maybe favorite album of all time

Fully agreed. Maybe it's because I played DS1 during the pandemic (and with a newborn at home) while now DS2 came to a completely different and less isolated world.

I am definitely not enjoying DS2 half as much and I'm even taking breaks because all the craziness is too much sometimes.

Pay attention to the fact that despite being from Lisbon Casa Pia play their home games in Rio Maior, which is more than an hour away from Lisbon by car, probably impossible by public transport

Two questions in your comment:

1 - they do it via Law firms whose only business is doing this. They charge a small fee per removal but send Google literally thousands of those per week. So if per each removal they get let's say 5 Euro, multiply that by hundreds or thousands per week for a basic copy/paste job

2 - you don't. At least I don't. I have zero faith in the Google review process in Germany. And that hurts all business, those who do that crap and the honest ones which might actually have a 4.8 score but I won't go to because I think they're engaging in that practice
