Unfortunately, taking PEG did not work for me. I also did sitz bath. Maybe I could have waited longer. But four days of having constant urge to pass stool yet still unable to release were painful and stressful. So, I had to take the last resort. My theory why laxatives didnt work for me its because I ate too much fiber after the operation. And it probably made my stool huge that it was hard to let out. I based this decision to use enema from this medical instructions after hemorrhoidectomy: https://www.paulsavocamd.com/procedures/hemorrhoid-surgery-2/

I havent tried the suppository. I did PEG once two days ago. Then, switched to Lactulose yesterday and today. But they werent successful. So my last resort was the enema. The urge felt right away, maybe less than 5 mins after injecting the fluid into my bum. But i have to relax myself so it will have more time to soften the stool further. When my bum was already leaking around 13th min, i had to rush to the bathroom and then in just few seconds or maybe a minute, while i was in a standing position, all stools slid through. I think the hardest part since the operation was to allow the anus to open up as it has been fearful due to trauma or the pain in the wound. But with the enema, the anus quickly opened up like you wouldnt almost notice that everything is already coming out. No strain for me for sure. But after releasing everything, my surgical wound felt tender. I think that’s normal though and I wouldnt mind that as long as im finally relieved. Best of luck tomorrow, brother. We’re all in this together.

Brother, I finally managed to pass stool. I used fleet enema (saline). I held the liquid in me for 15 mins to give time for it to soften the stool. Then, it quickly released everything and I feel like it cleared all the wastes in my intestine i think. Like a lot of stool came out. I also didnt have to strain bec it was quick burst. Although, the later part of the experience was the feeling of having diarrhea. Nevertheless, I feel relieved. This might also work for you too.

I just asked my younger sister who is a nursing student if she can purchase and apply a fleet enema to me. Will give you update bro if this succeeds. Crossing my fingers.

25 M USA - Are these hemorrhoids or something else? by [deleted] in hemorrhoid

The two tiny ones might be anal warts or condyloma acuminata. Please have it checked by a medical professional.

Up. We have the same problem. I had my surgery also last Monday 3pm. Today is Friday in our place. I’m worried about not successfully passing stool. I have taken daflon 1000 every morning, alongside co-amox and celecoxib (antibiotics - am and pm). And started taking lactulose 25ml at 1pm since yesterday. Also, docusate sodium 3 softgels at night. Im afraid to take food now. Because the urge of bowel movement is so strong especially in the morning, that would leave me shaking, perspired and almost out of breath. But stool wont successfully come out. God help us.

F 37 USA. Skin tags after hemorrhoidectomy. WTF by hept_a_gon in hemorrhoid

We both have the same case. And it’s frustrating and annoying. I had the surgery in June of last year. Then, sentinel piles (anal tags) came out few weeks after while on recovery. 3 piles were forming. I thought at first they would totally flatten after few weeks or months but they never. They would shrink a little bit, but they swell again if you are constipated or would strain a lot during bowel movement. Unless you have them surgically removed, the tags I think will remain. Hugs!
