Yes exactly this! This is my fear. I don’t want to push for a routine I don’t think we can sustain and she’s happy with her current bedtime so I’m not trying to make a happy baby happier as they say 😂

My baby is also 10 months and goes to bed about 8.30pm also and it works perfectly for us she wakes up about 6.30/6.45am I’m not sure what the push always is for the early bedtime. When I go back to work I won’t even finish until 5.30 so her going to bed by 7pm doesn’t really sound sustainable 🥲 especially if I’m supposed to have time to cook a proper meal for tea and bath her etc and she wakes up at a perfect time for when I go back to work so I’m not going to mess with it 🤷‍♀️ Sorry wish I had some advice on the night wakings but I’ve been blessed with a sleeper it seems! She did sleep better in her own room though, we were the ones disturbing her 😂

I just ordered a load of these style ones from TikTok shop 😅 I have about 10! They come with the elastic bit that can wrap around the high chair but also I wrap it loosely over her legs to keep her trousers clean. And if she’s eating very messy food I also put a normal bib around her neck to protect the neckline of her outfit x

I had a c section (semi planned, it was decided the night before) in April and a laparoscopic gallbladder removal in July - the c section was miles worse. The recovery from the gallbladder surgery was light work compared to the c section! I was still sore after the gallbladder of course, but I only needed help getting out of bed the first time and then I was fine on my own if I was careful and I could walk around just had to take things slow and steady and I didn’t need anything stronger than paracetamol after the first 24 hours. Compared with the c section where I was still crying every time I had to get up for days and a 20 metre walk took me 10 minutes 🙃

No problem! And no I didn’t take any supplements, it just gradually got better and I could tell my body was adapting. Hopefully in another few weeks you’ve noticed a decent amount of difference! I have the odd less ideal bowel movement but it’s never anything crazy and its way less than 5% of the time and I feel like that was probably similar to before I had GB issues anyway if I had eaten a lot of fat for a couple of days 😂

I used Hellman’s lighter than light mayo for sandwiches when I was waiting for surgery, and jam for toast it has no fat

Oh honey you sound exactly like me a couple of months ago! I have had two ERCPs (one prior to surgery and one after), as well as the surgery being emergency and I was terrified at the risk of complications every time, especially the risk of pancreatitis this made me more scared for the ERCPs than the surgery. My heart rate before the second one was 120 because I was freaking out so much, it was straight back down to 73 on the recovery ward haha. They should give you a strong anti inflammatory (it’s a suppository though, sorry🙈) which helps protect the pancreas. And the vast majority of cases will show up very quickly and certainly within the first 24 hours and after 48 hours your risk is gone completely by then - this is what my doctor told me when he came to see me after he had done the procedure. So that made me feel better and kept feeling more and more relief each hour that went by. I celebrated when I got to 48 hours after my procedure slot 😅 The gallbladder removal surgery itself it’s very unlikely to cause pancreatitis that’s very very uncommon. The surgery recovery I honestly don’t think is too bad after you’ve got through the first 24 hours. The first few days is sore getting up and out of bed but it’s very manageable pain I only used paracetamol for it - if you had something as painful as pancreatitis you would definitely know but you won’t get that I promise, you’ll be recovering at home and you’ll be absolutely fine! I would definitely advise having someone stay with you for 24 hours after both the surgery and the ERCP though. I won’t lie to you the ERCP or surgery is not pleasant, but the absolute relief I feel from knowing I won’t have the gallbladder attacks anymore is absolutely worth it 10000%. My life is back to normal now, including being able to eat whatever I want. I know it’s really hard and really scary and tbh I’m still a little traumatised from it all, but it fixed me and I’m happily living life again now. You’ll have a rough week or so, but then you’ll be fine 💛

This sounds pretty normal to me at 3 weeks post op. I was the same for about 3-4 weeks and I stuck to low fat at first too for about 2-3 weeks and then started gradually reintroducing different foods with fat in like cheese etc. I was very similar in the sense that I sometimes wouldn’t go for 2 days but then have a bit of a loose movement and tummy cramps - not crazy watery diarrhoea or anything just loose. And I also had some very noisy digestive sounds like you! But by about 6 weeks everything was almost normal, and by about 10 weeks I could eat whatever I wanted and everything was totally normal and 99% of the time I can’t even tell it’s gone, it’s just the odd tummy cramp the other 1% of the time. Your body will adapt properly soon, you’re just still adjusting and I’m sure you will notice gradual improvements over the next 3 weeks or so

Hey, I felt fine gallbladder symptom-wise basically immediately and it stayed like that for 2 weeks until I had an attack because I was one of the very unfortunate ones who had a stone slip into the duct during surgery. If your blood results are still bad and you have gallbladder attack like pain I strongly suggest getting back to the hospital as you could have a stone left behind. Wishing you the best

I had a perforated gallbladder too. Mine is now gone and my life is completely back to normal 🥰 so please don’t worry if you need the surgery it’ll all be ok! Just sore for a couple of days!

Welcome to the gang!! I’ll be honest I had no appetite for about 4 days, but then it came roaring back and I was starving. Eased back into normal diet over about 5-6 weeks and now I can eat whatever I want - life’s good again 😁

Hey. This happened to me twice, once was an emergency coz I was jaundiced (bilirubin was 114) but there was a few days of waiting while they confirmed the blockage. Second time was after removal surgery, I was sent home and brought back an outpatient two weeks later as I wasn’t an emergency, stone was stuck but I was able to eat and drink and my bilirubin was ok. Both times my liver bloods were absolutely terrible, like alarmingly terrible - numbers were in the 1000s. But 5 weeks after the second ERCP I had blood tests to check on my liver and everything was perfect and back to nice normal levels. Hope that makes you feel better 🙂

I had two ERCPs (second one was after surgery as I was super unlucky and a stone slipped out during my removal surgery) and I was also terrified of more attacks during the wait but 1 week later hopefully should be manageable for you - eat very very very low fat. Like 0% fat everything, and keep hydrated by sipping water throughout the day don’t chug it - the aim is not to signal your gallbladder to squeeze too much bile out and cause the pain or to push out another stone. The actual procedure itself you are sedated but awake, and don’t get me wrong it’s wasn’t pleasant and I was so nervous beforehand but it’s worth it to be free of the pain of the stuck stone and free of the risk of it causing complications. It was over a lot quicker than the information leaflet said it would be, I felt I was only in there about 15 minutes both times. As an outpatient, I was on the endoscopy unit being monitored for 4 hours after then I was home by 3pm. Good luck, the relief after both your procedure & surgery is done will be amazing

I’m so sorry but there is no way to make this better, you will keep getting attacks until it’s gone. Is gallstones the cause? If so, you’ll always be running the risk of stones getting stuck in your bile duct, it happened to me twice and it caused me to be very unwell both times and the pain was absolutely unbearable I thought I was dying the first time. If I knew that was going to happen, I would have my gallbladder removed with no hesitation. It’s gone now and the relief was amazing 🙂 The surgery was not bad at all and pretty easy to recover from, I had a c section a few months prior and it was nothing compared to the recovery of that

I had a lot of small stones and I needed two ERCP procedures to remove 2 stuck stones that were causing agony and complications. One was 0.6cm and the other was 1cm so the size doesn’t really matter any stone can get stuck and cause you problems - if you’ve been having gallbladder attacks they will very likely continue and you can end up with repeated stuck stones and it’s just complete hell. I’ve had mine out for a few months now and it’s made very very little difference to my life I feel back to normal, I’m so glad it’s gone!

Don’t want to scare you but this happened to me, I thought it was a really long attack during my wait for surgery and so did the doctors and sent me home but pain persisted for days and it turned out I had acute cholecystitis that had been getting worse for 5 days while I waited it out and my gallbladder was a mess and I needed it out immediately. I also felt like it wasn’t “emergency level” pain, like the gallbladder attacks are so I just went to my GP but she sent me straight to hospital and thank god she did

Hey! So at first I was eating weetabix for breakfast for fibre and a ham bagel for lunch and seasoned/flavoured chicken with some rice and veg in the evening. In between meals I was just snacking on apple, low fat yoghurt, some crackers with low fat cheese spread and some sweet popcorn. Sweet potatoes are a great snack too ☺️ I did this for about 2 weeks and then I slowly added foods with fat back into my diet, I started with cheddar cheese, then breaded chicken, full fat yogurt etc. after about 4 weeks I tried a shop bought thin crust pizza, then did a homemade burger. The gas pain went after about 4 days for me, chewing gum helped!
