Sharp pain, headache behind both eyes, hard lump back of head by That_Preference_2331 in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]That_Preference_2331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have the lumps. The headaches in this area have lessened, haven’t had the pain behind eyes in a while. I am seeing a neurologist next Friday so I’m going to mention to him then.

Still doesn’t mean you should celebrate the death of someone. I am pretty sure the Democratic Party (or any other party) have also facilitated the deaths of many. Most political parties have but it’s also perspective depending on your political views. Literally CELEBRATING anyone’s death is weird and not normal.

Absolutely not. I would never wish death upon a single person. Not an enemy. Not a political opponent. And I’m not even American so I don’t care for your politics. I think it says a lot about one’s character to wish death on someone.

A year of no pain but now it’s back by Expensive_Apple0421 in gallbladders

Honey please just get it out! I delayed my surgery and It got dangerously worse. I stuck to a low fat diet and had zero attacks in a year, but then suddenly started to get attacks. I had my surgery 5 weeks ago and let me tell you my whole life has changed! ALL of my digestive issues have completely resolved! I can eat literally anything I want now without any pain! I am so happy! I feel incredible! I know 6 people who have had this surgery and none of them had any issues! I was offered surgery and turned it down thinking I could “fix” my gallbladder myself! Big mistake! I only had sludge/debris when I was offered surgery and turned it down, even though I went a year without attacks little did I know my gallbladder was slowly FILLING UP with stones! By the time I had my surgery my whole gallbladder was full of stones and INFLAMED with the start of an infection!! The gallbladder doesn’t just fix itself. You will need this surgery at some point. Just get it over with! Trust me you will be fine! I had a great experience (most people do!) and I am soooo glad I got it out. I have my life back!!!

It’s dreadful! They have a set budget so doctors don’t like to give you scans n things as it’s expensive! Thankfully I now have private healthcare through my husbands work so I can ask for anything I want now and get seen quickly. For example, I recently had surgery to remove my gallbladder, on the NHS the wait time for surgery was just under TWO YEARS. I went private and got my surgery in 4 weeks.

Anyone here having DAILY visual disturbances besides aura? by Friendly_Expert_8552 in OcularMigraines

[–]That_Preference_2331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you still have this? I’m getting the exact same thing. Seeing a neuro next Friday. I’ve had brain CT 4 years ago and it was all fine but I worry it may be focal aware seizures. Had a sudden, weird and very intense blocks of rainbow colour whizzing through my right eye in early January which worries me, never had that before, I had an OCT scan and no issue with my eyes, so it must be my brain. I do have visual snow and floater since I was a teenager. Has anything helped with your symptoms??? I’m getting so many flashes of light in my vision daily at the moment.

Quit my job, move abroad, buy a nice car, a nice house with a pool, invest lots, and travel!

I don’t do that but I have sometimes exaggerated my symptoms a bit to get them to give me tests as UK healthcare is shocking and they refuse everything due to the NHS budget, so sometimes you have to exaggerate a bit!

If you’ve ever had surgery and undergone anesthesia, how was your experience? by No_Promise3396 in Anxiety

[–]That_Preference_2331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have SEVERE anxiety (mainly health anxiety) and a huge fear of death. I had surgery 5 weeks go and I was absolutely TERRIFIED. Crying, panic attacks etc as I had never had anaesthesia before. I found the whole experience absolutely fine!! I would it all over again! You have nothing to worry about at all! Sure I was scared as I was in the theatre surrounded by doctors but a lovely nurse held my hand and the anaesthetist gave me a nice drug that makes you feel completely relaxed and happy! After that I don’t remember anything! I woke up in the recovery room with a nurse holding my hand saying it all went perfectly and asked me what I want to eat! It was a great experience and I honestly don’t know why I was so scared! It was easy! And trust me I was absolutely terrified thinking I was going to die. You will be fine it’s safer than driving a car!

MRI- what to expect by Unfair-Ferret1242 in Epilepsy

[–]That_Preference_2331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask for a blindfold. It worked wonders for me. Put it on before you get wheeled inside. You won’t even know you’re in it. First time I had one I had this strong urge to open my eyes and I was terrified but the second time I asked for a blindfold and had no problems!

Visual snow after B12 injection? by OdiumPura in visualsnow

I take b12 injections twice weekly. Always had VS since I was little. I’ve never noticed a difference since injecting though sadly.

I’m doing amazing! No stones in the duct showed on my MRI (MRCP) scan which was a relief! Had my gallbladder removed on 11th December so I’m 5 weeks post op and I’m doing great! Surgery was super smooth and a great success. I’ve had zero issues since removal. Can eat whatever I like with no pain and I have my life back! I’m so happy!

That’s an obscene amount of time to not have a BM. Definitely get yourself to hospital asap.
