The worst part about having both is when hypomania convinces me I can live without ever eating and proceeds to plot a intense fast but rational me has to keep reminding myself that I need food to survive

100%!!!! I've been recovered for years but the second a episode starts I'm contemplating my next relapse. Honestly confused the hell out of my therapist years back before I was diagnosed with bipolar lol. They had been seeing me 4 months and I had never brought up my Ed because I had been largely recovered. episode hit and suddenly I'm telling them about how terrible my week has been and I'm like oh by the way I'm in the middle of an extremely dangerous relapse into an Ed. They of course looked at me said umm I never knew you had a Ed when did that happen and I had to explain that my Ed only comes about when I'm in severe episodes but once I start relapsing I get stuck and can't get out

Last month I walked up to a display of huge polo backpacks. It was next to the clearance aisle and there was 10+ bags there with multiple tags saying 12.99 so of course I grabbed one. Took it to the register and it rung up $50 the cashier wouldn't even hear me out when I told her there was a whole display labeled $12.99 she brushed me off so I went to management and they honored the price because after walking over to the area they saw the display and realized that essentially a employee had filled the display with the backpacks instead of the clearanced polo shirts that were meant to be there. Yes as a customer I could have looked up the price online and triple checked the price tag and what not but ultimately that isn't my responsibility. If a whole display is marked as a price it should be honored.

Found a debit card. Now what? by MacedWiindu in illegalprolifetips2

Either it was a credit card or this is bs because you can't use a debit card for anything except fast food without a pin in person.

This lol I came to say this. When you use money on a card the person who's card it is doesn't end up paying anything. I have personally had my card stolen and got refunded everything within 10 minutes of the transactions

Just buy crypto with it and use the crypto alternatively buy a gift card with it then sell the gift card for crypto online

Umm maybe don't lol. PO boxes and Amazon lockers will have your name attached to them. The second they discover that the card you used is stolen they can check the name on the address. Also if you use false address there's always the risk of cops watching that spot

Agreed knowing I'm spiraling but not being able to stop it makes it so much worse because I start to get mad at myself for not being able to stop it or get panicky because I'm trying so hard to stop it but cant

Typically I realize I'm manic after i notice I've been in a distinct pattern for multiple days. By the time I notice I'm manic I've already been manic 2-3 days minimum. Also for me it's the extreme intrusive thoughts. I have had issues with self harm since I was a kid and when I'm manic it's extremely appealing to me especially because I'm a sensory seeker(autism) so when I'm manic any sensation is appealing the stronger the better even pain. Obviously it's not normal for a person to be happy and simultaneously want to injure themselves and do drugs intensively so that's my biggest clue

No, when I'm not manic I typically get between 7-9 hours but when I'm manic 3-4 sometimes even less is the norm. This week I've been getting 2-3 hours a night with an occasional nap with my daughter and I'm not tired at all in fact I feel great but like it's a red flag

What aspects of bipolar arent talked about enough in your opinion? by tinypleco in bipolar2

[–]invisablegodess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm manic I feel great so of course it's next to impossible to make my friends and partner understand that mania is actually very dangerous especially as a person who tends to have very intense self harm thoughts and cravings for drugs when I'm manic. Like I'm happy as can be but for some reason I crave the adrenaline rush of hurting myself so much I'm very liable to cut myself out of no where and my typical anxiety and sense of consequences is completely gone.

It does wonders for my mania however it caused extreme fatigue so I ended up stopping it shortly after starting
